This mod aims to turn Calradia (Warband's native world) into a fantasy one by adding several fantasy races, weapons, magic, monsters and new factions and cities. The mod is currently an open beta so there is still much to do and polish, but it is quite fun.

Description

Phantasy 2018 series v156 PATCH B9: contains important fixes for: monk unarmed damage; tournaments which were previously corrupted by changes in tournament options by the player; spell scrolls are no longer sold to players that are not magic user class. chaos and white bolt scrolls are no longer sold, as those spells are down.

As in you couldn't unzip it, couldn't have the mod show on the list of mods (maybe because you didnt scroll up or down in the list of mods showing using the arrow on the right), or you unzipped a folder inside a folder so the mod isnt seen? Were you able to see the mod but as you start it it does not finish loading, in which case you forgot to toggle "load textures on demand"?

You should be reading heavily at
Forums.taleworlds.com

There is no way to have one person baby sit 20K+ downloaders so each one can ask the same question endlessly.

For installing a mod in general start with

For unzip .7z files use
7-zip.org

For toggling ON load textures on demand this is done at Warband options:video BEFORE trying to load/run the mod.

For I got this far, but I'm confused making a character read
Forums.taleworlds.com

for pretty much each additional question, I'd have to assume you're baiting me or too lazy to read the posts already in place. I'm not going to repost every last one here. Use Taleworlds forum for what it is designed for, so that developers can actually develop. If that loses me a user, its all right. If that gains you the answer -- isn't that what you wanted? So its in your hands which way to go.

That's a pretty nice and indepth description on installing. Maybe you could put it in the mod description, if it isn't already on the ModDB page?

splicing earlier answers for you:

the hotfix is cut and pasted OVER the main mod, not in a folder of its own inside the main mod. The files have to OVERWRITE (caps are to show what went wrong not just yelling for my own amusement) the .txt files of the same name.

go inside the expanded folder made from this update. Inside are 32 text files and some folders. You aren't interested in taking this folder and copying it into the base mod (of may 31 2016), but instead you go inside this patch folder, so that the 32 text files and further subfolders are showing, ctrl-a to mark everything inside, right-click COPY (or cut), then back out to the base mod (from May 31 2016) and with the same 32 text files and a bunch of subfolders showing in explorer right click PASTE to where it asks "overwrite xx files of the same name yes or no?". Say yes and let it update.

asking for quests, hiring companions, what sort of dialog are you talking about. Are these lords, ladies, persons walking around town - which dialogs? there's like 30,000 lines, what did you say and what were you expecting to hear in reply?

"certain" lords.
You would have quests fail if you had an earlier version of v156 series, older than about B6. When asking about quests these would seem to hang. If THAT was the issue the fix is patching a B8 or later.

another issue would be starting a game as v150, patching with v156, and not starting a fresh game. In that case all the lords would have their variables jumbled up; they would mostly have the settings of different lords than themselves, but also some would be set with the values given to troops, as save game stores only the row number of the troops file, not really the actual name of the troop. When restoring to a different series, the rows have been moved around so the data can never be aligned again. This should pretty much destroy any conversation. The fix is simple enough - start a fresh game.

a third issue is all the companions NOT signed up into your party became lords within 2 days and were assigned improperly to every faction with friendly enough skin. But they were not promoted correctly, just marked active without the correct conversion from unhired companion to kingdom lord status. Thus, all the dialogs intended for kingdom lords fail, and all the dialogs intended for companions fail. This would be unique to patch v156B10.

What else could go wrong? Hmm, those are about the 3 best ways to end up at your situation. Each could be resolved by downloading a full v156 build again and reinstalling the full build from a v156 version, then starting a fresh character. Thats a lot of work, but thats the quickest way for you.

I'll be busy one full month at Warsword Conquest. I had originally hoped to bang out an update for them, which they've been waiting 2 years for, in about 2 weeks, but I see now their new code is scrambled enough that it will take twice as long, maybe 3 times as long, to unscramble enough to merge as first estimated. You'll have to hang tough until then.

Latest patch, latest warband, randomly while turning in quests, I get the "Warning, this line should not appear" and the game will crash.

I don't know where to report bugs, so I'm going to do it here. In Jelkala (not sure if this bug is in other towns) I talked to the Guild Master and asked for a quest. He told me to receive an Item but it was marked as "ERROR" or something like that, I can't remember the exact wording. Now every time I talk to him and say "About that task, you offered" he responds with "Reconsidering eh?" then it doesn't let me continue the conversation or do anything for that matter, so I have to restart my game. Please fix this!

What was the reasoning behind taking out selling scrolls to non mage characters?

why get your hopes up by selling a scroll you can never use?

If you make a companion or spouse into a mage, they use all spells according to the magic ability skill they have. If you are in v156 or 155 and you aren't a mage now, you'll NEVER be a mage. If you are in v150, you do a quest to be a mage and then you can buy scrolls. It was mainly an oversight to sell you scrolls when you had no hope of ever using them.

Do I need to add every patch or just the most recent one?

each patch has everything the previous one had.
I'll probably make another series v156 patch tomorrow late afternoon.
