Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

All I know is that the Harbinger will one shot just about anything with two of these and extermination, so I suppose you can guess what the big daddie can do

Hang on lemme get the numbers:

125000 - 250000 per beam tick is standard.

x2 with generators
x2 with externimation =
-----------------------
1000000 dmg per tick max

Destroyer average health:
360000

BC average health:
650000

Beam lasts 5 secs with 1 dmg tick per second more or less. Suffice to say assuming you're firing at a static target and the beam hits (sometimes goes awry for some reason) and you'll oneshot more or less everything.

In the PTV universe, yep... hmm, that would be interesting. Hiigs with sajuuk vs. a Keeper Devourer.

Somehow I think the hiigs would be at a disadvantage but don't ask me why...

Sajuuk has two huge advantages over a Devourer... it can long jump, and it has unbelievably powerful hull defense guns. Serously, in the campaign, I killed more ships with Sajuuks hull defenses than with the main gun.

However sajuuk lacks the phase shields the Keeper variant has. I can just see karan going 'oh ****' when the entire phased beam just goes plink off the shields.

So the Power Generator is similar to the Power Generator in the FX mod, but it also adds a buff to any nearby ships huh? How exactly, because you indicated that two of them would double a ships damage, so does that mean that if you have four of them, you could quadrouple a ships damage?

No, you can dock them only on certain ships where they unlock certain weapons.

Normally the only buff it gives you is 15% health regenerator nearby. But add them to a reaver or harbinger (the only two ships which accept power generators) and you get yourself a nice little addition.

speaking of which, Did you see about enabling the phase shields on the generators?? Whenever I go into battle the generators last for about 15-20 seconds before getting blown to pieces, and that's on the Harbinger, the ones on the reaver last a grand total of 5 seconds.....

It's something I've been wondering about myself.

However that's kinda the point - to keep you from using them in a battle as it's a big risk.

Not sure though, the keeper capital ships all need a bit of a buff tbh. While they tend to survive, they don't seem to be terribly efficient at actually killing anything. That ends up as the hunter/shifter's jobs. Not sure if that's the way we want it to be...

Description

Seen here are the Keeper Sentinel and the Keeper powergenerator.

The first provides a slow moving but versatile defense against any enemy threat during the early Keeper game. The sentinel is best used to counter small enemy ships but its high rate of fire can prove dangerous even to larger ships. The greatest benefit of this miniature defense gun? It doesn't drain RU.

The latter provides RU for the player, allowing you to sustain a fleet. The thing with the Keepers is, the more ships you have, the more RU are drained per second. Thus, if you want to field a big fleet, you'll have to manage your power generators well. Loosing one at a bad moment can spell doom for your forces.

Note: Some ships can be powered up by generators to activate stronger weapons.
