Recently got radiant doing all the editing I want. I've had a neat trick for a while to edit quake 1 maps with radiant. Despite starting as and being primarily a quake 2 & 3 map editor it has mucho difficulty with quake1. It is fairly easy to setup a quake 1 editing profile. What isnt easy is 1: convincing radiant to see quake 1 textures and 2: convincing the map compiler to compile radiants map files. I have done both of those in spades (with bash shell scripts) and I am considering publishing a tool set dedicated to this. In fact I'm considering publishing all my quake editing tools. I've been working with quake since may 96, so there is a considerable variety of tools. Not sure exactly when, but it will be on my main profile - Moddb.com Stay tuned. |
