MenteR Feb 9 2011 replied:

it's a prototype of the ion cannon seen in episode two. NPCs don't disintegrate on the actual game, so they shouldn't disintegrate on ours either.

also the burn thing only happens when you use the alt fire, which is really overpowered and consumes 10 rounds of the weapon in one shot.

Reminds me of Plasmatic Anti-Matter x3

Should slowly decrease in size and collour as it flies on and make a discharge-like sound when it dissapears with a tiny spark-flash x3

=.= yeah, science-fiction novels and movies.

Will you add custom sound to it?

-:Steve-o:- Feb 10 2011 replied:

Huh? It does have custom sounds. The only thing that doesn't is the sound it makes when bouncing, but I'll do a sound for that.

Guided_Meditation Feb 10 2011 replied:

I mean that. That bouncing sound is soooooooo annoying...

Good you will change that soon, it'd make it even better.

VioletStar Feb 12 2011 replied:

If possible then might be nice to have random, slightly varied custom bounce sounds?

-:Steve-o:- Feb 12 2011 replied:

Yeah, I will do. I always make at least 3 sounds for sounds which people are going to hear often.

Good to know that the current one is a placeholder, because the angle and the point of view isn't really appealing.

did you think bout making secondary shot chargable (for example like in SW Jedi Outcast)? and you could make special fire (blue one) for this grenade (dunno what it actually is :d).

That looks great. Would it be possible for the energy balls to emit lights, so that when you shoot them into a dark corner they illuminate the surface on contact? I just think it would be more realistic and pretty epic, if at all possible.

Just a little opinion, instead of just setting the Plasma Round's Lifetime to 2 seconds, you could make it become 2 or 3 seconds after it first bounced, or halve the time after a bounce.

This could be great for puzzles in the game, like in episode 1 and Half Life 2 with bouncing energy balls into socketts
