Why do people say first comment? Anyways the sewers have always been the coolest thing I've seen, good work.

Eh, it's okay the railing on the left is black and there aren't enough sprites on the light... you can clearly see three and it wouldn't be that way in RL...

the railing is black because light is not touching it, we dont have day on the other side of the world do we?

thats because there's light directly above it, on the railing on the other side, its a lighter, rusty colour while on the side that you see on the closer railing, it's much darker becausethe light is not touching that side, the only way that'd be possible is if the room had some really reflective walls, and even then, it'd be darker

I love the lighting! Are you using a sprite for that effect or what?

It has a nice feel. I like how you can see the Combine in the background just well enough to know he's there, but not much further.

the eyes in the background are wicked, maybe if there was a way to script the combine to not shoot until you're in ambush range

Description

Originally, the city sewers was a hideout for the young human rebellion; while fighting the might of the Combine military was futile on the planet surface, the man-made tunnels underneath proved a strong advantage to the resistance. However, this strategy was not going to last as the Combine swept through the entire sewer system with Manhacks and Hunters. To prevent further rebellion outposts beneath the city, Combine Soldiers were stationed at newly founded strongholds everywhere within the war-torn tunnels. As the humans' were losing their grasp on the urban centers, the Combine reduced their number of sewer stations. Eventually, this resulted in failure to hold back the constantly attacking hordes of Xenian creatures infesting the darker areas of the city underground and finally the last Combine forces abandoned the sewers, leaving outposts, equipment and weapons behind.
