Operation: Firestorm is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. This mod currently features 8 unique playable Generals each with a huge arsenal of new units, buildings and special powers ar their disposal. While the core gamplay stays the same, a number of interesting new gameplay mechanics are added. In addition the overall visual quality is greaty improved, including new models, textures, FX and an improved User-Interface, available in full-HD resolution.

I played some multiplayer matches and want to give you my feedback:

Fortress General: I think its the weakest General at the moment because of a lack of attack forces. He really needs a heavy artillery i think because now its mostly spamming marauders, some AA and and very important Rocket artillery soldiers :D maybe advanced battle buses or something else could fill that role too.

The USA Generals are fine i think, they´re well designed and fun to play. But new units are very welcome :)

China is also very well designed and balanced imo but Red Army Generals Field Command should be improved because of the lacking artillery designator.

So in general new units would be nice if you still have some ideas which would fit the particular General.
And of course what do you want to add or change whats your plans for the released factions for the next release?

Anyway very good job on this first release! Keep it up :)

Fortress has heavy Tanks and we don't want him to have heavy Artillery too. The battle bus is something I have already thought of. Maybe coming in the first patch.

Nice mod!

The China Nuke super weapon really needs to be balanced. It is ridiculous how much damage it does.

The USA controllable spy drone is way too fast.

I might do some in depth analysis at a later date.

I think dat the Extend Equipment GP form SOCOM could also benefit infantry supports like Humvees, DPVs and Wolfs, like Humvees being able to be upgraded with an Minigun, Wolf can switch to Grenades to give him an late-game use; and about the DPV i dunno, dat vehicle really needs something!

About the Fortress General, the name says it, hes intended to Turtle and Build Superweapons; the Battle-bus sure need something, would be nice if the Battle-Bus gain the same ability from the Assault Troop Crawler to maintain distance.

So the way to play with fortress is to build 100 of punisher cannons or what? I don´t get how to play him. Because building the punisher cannon multiple times is really boring and nobody in multiplayer would play against it

You can steamroll with Tanks and ZSUs. You don't even need Baneblades, his Marauders are very strong, his MBT is good too. Don't forget you can always use Bomb Trucks and Airforce.

Yes thats what i did while playing him but than its not really a "fortress General" because its just like playing normal GLA with better marauders and some defenses. He can build the artillery defense site and 3 of the fortresses which are really nice but its just not enough to call him fortress general. If its possible an armed building vehicle or heavy dozers would be nice or something like that. I know that you don´t want to over specialize every general but i think he needs something more "fortress´ish". Its not that easy to counter Athenas, nuke cannons or tomahawks with it because the defenses don´t have that range as well as the rocket infantry. And the light artillery , which costs a generals point, is kinda useless in late game think

We have more stuff for him planned. But keep in mind even though he's called Fortress general he is not supposed to be a pure turtler faction. But you can still turtle pretty good just now.

Im sure you will improve him, for the first and even a beta release this mod is really good. But i don´t want him to be the turtle general because turtling is most of the time boring and doesn´t win a match :P if i have any useful suggestions i´ll let you know. For now i guess you´re doing it right :)
