For anyone wondering, why OP4 HECU fights against HL1 HECU, the inlucded Dark Operations.txt file says the following:
"Since the death of the administrator (see my Resistance series for details), the Black Ops forces and some U.S. marine traitors have gone out on their own and taken control of a U.S. military base and research lab. They and a team of scientists are developing weapons of mass destruction: nuclear missiles, chemical weapons, and biological agents. They have betrayed the United States and must be eliminated. They are close to finishing parts of their arsenal and they will probably be able to use it before help arrives. Therefore it is up to you to stop them. You have the advantage of taking out the base from the inside. Eliminate the entire base personnel and recapture the base. Expect heavy resistance, and leave no survivors. Be sure to eliminate the entire science team as well. You will find help, so keep your eyes open for allies. Good luck."
Notice the mention of "U.S. marine traitors"
it really odd that you let the HECU from OP fight the HECU from Half life . It night impossible to know who friend from foe until they shoot you in the face

I actually really admired this one. I REALLY love the old OP4 feeling and this one did it for me! I think i'll give this one 7/10. It doesn't cover any new ground but is entertaining and pretty fun to play.
While some things stay the same, like moving around alone killing off Black Ops and new aliens & you occasionally meet team mates and fight together. This mod takes on a different level design to the original Opposing Force, giving us larger areas & bigger hallways without sacrificing detail as they look much like the large areas in OF.
It’s a different take on the game and I would have liked it, if they gave us more enemies to compensate for the longer treks.
Naturally you lose the claustrophobic feeling of the half-life levels but they could have made up for that by giving us bigger battles…..
Actually I think its surprising how you end up getting every weapon in the game, and stocked to almost max ammo on everything but don’t fight any more than 2-4 enemies at once. Its the one thing keeping me from rating the mod higher.
I liked the helicopter fight and its the only fight that stands out.
Some may find the ending to be a cliche one, but I haven’t seen it before
