Play as a scientist in the depths of Black-Mesa after the resonance cascade struck the facility. Fight through waves of U-S special forces and aliens from the Xen border world in a more scifi and vibrant Black-Mesa.
Past 2 weekends worth of work on the mod. Still Wip, could change depending on the comments but we will see. The past few maps I have been making have been made in a way that has a lot of areas dedicated to exploration while still keeping the maps linear. I also have recently changed the compiler to Vluzacn's one for better lighting.
Very good! Not much to see though, but I believe that is the point :) . How far into development are you btw? Can we await Omega Protocol any time soon?
Sadly it's not that close to finish. I have needed to dump some original work because it was bare and didn't make sense, although I'm currently in a crunch period with mapping so development is going quicker than usual.
Ah, nice to hear that! I've also removed or remade many of my old maps, a long and time-consuming procession.
Your mod is getting better by the day. Good luck with the rest of the development ;).
Good question that deserves an answer. :D
As for the area: Not sure about. I'd imagine that this place is running on some sort of emergency power. Just don't forget to add the lights which would normally illuminate the room 'cause I can't see any other than the red lights on the screenshot. They don't have to be active but they at least should be there..
Also with the exception for the dead grunt that room is utterly empty.
Perhaps add few more dead bodies (aliens or Black Mesa personnel) to show what actually happened to the grunt there. He died in some skirmish against either force.
Also eventually some trucks or machinery as the place appears to be some storage or loading facility.
Design wise this place already looks fantastic. If it's fitting depending if it plays near the surface or not.. Perhaps add a larger window onto the roof while it's night outside so you wont lose the darkness effect on this room. Or maybe some grid walkway on top letting you glimpse into another larger area above.
