Will the in-game scale be according to picture?

The AT-ST is the size of its foot! xD

Thank you for this, Jeroenimo. I can't thank you enough for this masterpiece! I always liked that concept from Radojavor, because it combines the aesthetics from the old trilogy and adds some weapon systems which you would expect to see in the new trilogy. I always think that the laser above the cockpit shoots a SPHAT-like laser, powered by a generator which is normally used in starships. This model and the texture look amazing and it resembles the original concept very well. I'm really speechless and can't wait to see that beast in the game. Damn awesome work!

This model looks amazing, if i was just looking at the legs i'd be having a hard time believing this wasn't the at-at from DICE's new Battlefront trailer.

I didn't think it was possible to make a walker more intimidating than the AT-AT but damn... They mod continues to leave me speechless.

Past mods have already used the soldiers from the KOTOR games. The KOTOR republic and sith soldiers always kinda been bland to me tbh, but thats just my opinion. Do you plan on doing any soldiers featured in SWTOR?

Nope, didn't play tor and to me the only real old republic era soldiers are the Kotor ones. Perhaps of Tor has stuck to the original designs and didn't completely go overboard with the redesign, that doesn't in any way connect to the kotor games I'd have been more interested in them.

To be fair though the havok troops deserve a real model for EAW. They may have clone looking armor but over all they're pretty bad ***. The Kotor troops are...blandish.

Here's what the Havok standard looks like, I think this makes more of a heavy soldier rather than the kotor ones:

Not in a milion years, that's not old republic content, that's a clone trooper, screw everything about that I'm not turning this into a clone wars wanna be mod like they turned TOR into a clone wars wanna be mmo.

Though are you not worried that there wouldn't be any unit variations for infantry? While I do agree the TOR soldiers look too Clone-ish it's still better to show the developement of the Republic military.
Also I'm guessing you're going to still use the new Sith troopers since they look unique enough, at least I hope you will.

Also I just checked The New Sith Wars and I pray you don't use it as it looks like the entire galaxy went to a dark age and decided to go "**** technology we're going back to spears and Narnia" though that may have been what they were going for 'cause I read about some dark age that took place in that period. Do bear in mind I've never read the comics since I'm after that time.

Isn't Republic Soldier a Rebel Soldier wanna be?
Img3.wikia.nocookie.net
Img1.wikia.nocookie.net

Also, this vehicle is Empire wanna be, isn't it? It is even labeled as "Imperial Walker" in the source: Radojavor.deviantart.com

And of course Havoc squad is going to look somewhat like Clones, they are Republic Infantry - just like Clones. Both Jedi and Sith looked almost the same in Clone Wars and in the Old Republic era, why would Republic infantry's armor styling be that much different?
(+ they look more bad-*** than Republic Soldiers and Clones combined)

If you are streaming to consistency, putting Havoc squad in Old Republic era is IMO a lot more consistent than teleporting AT-AT's 5 times bigger successor four thousand years back in time.
(I was actually quite surprised you've put it here instead in Re)

Re isn't getting any ground changes. Sometimes I'll agrue what does or doesn't make sense in lore and what I do and don't like about stuff, those discussions are totally seperate from how I make my mods though.

I am absolutely not streaming for consistency. I have very specific ideas and preferences about what I like and what I don't. I think the TOR infantry designs for example, are stupid, either not original or way off style from the KOTOR infantry. I make this mod accourding to those preferences and ideas. And people can either like and agree with my ideas and play the mod when it comes out, or they can not agree with my ideas and preferences and not play the mod when it comes out, or play it anyway and then they come complaining here. Really it's up to the individual. But untill I'm getting paid to make something for someone, I'm not in any way entitled to make anything that people ask for, or sometimes even seem to demand. That's why I also put "No unit requests" in the mod description because those people really come over as arrogant *****, coming in here thinking they're entitled to anything but their own opinions. Not talking about anyone in this comment list here but sometimes the occasional guy comes in thinking he can have a say in what I like and don't like about this star wars time period.

I agree on the Republic armor according to your statement, but it was an entirely different Empire then Revans empire so different armor seems logical there.

Not suggesting you put them in (I read your posts) but I just felt like explaining that point abit.

What irks me the most is that TOR doesnt feel very old whatever the name replies. Star wars franchises in different timeperiods are stuck into this obligation to HAVE a triangle ripoff, a tie fighter ripoff a clone armor ripoff to the point that they look more modern than the original movie assets, both detracting from the original design and the design of your game. Be original like KOTOR.

Thats just my opinion.

also were those old walkers made by azrwaith or smth? or are these different?

That is a REALLY awesome texture with the bump/normal map. Gives a great 3D feeling even where it's flat.

Definitly, most of the armor is flat and Enpremi made a great bump map using quixel to where it looks like things are modeled. Same with the leg joints, they only have one beveled area and all the detail on those are just texture.

By the vision of this thing's creator, as the title says it's an "Imperial Walker" and a successor to AT-AT:
Radojavor.deviantart.com

But it isn't in any sort of canon, so you can basically put it anywhere you want. Though, considering this is described and drawn more powerful than AT-AT, it doesn't make much sense putting it in the past.

But it will definitely be awesome to see it in the game, regardless of era! :)

In a time when you got vehicles using repulsors and all kinds of different technology, why would you then make something so slow and so weak like AT-AT. I think that the entire Star Wars -technology is a kind of mystery to us (or at least to me). AT-AT beats form over function and so does this, no matter the era.

Star Wars tech is wierd. It kinda remains stagnant overall since it constantly regresses and advances. Hell, they had energy shields that could be mass produced in the KOTOR era which had pretty much become unachievable by the rise of the Empire. So damn weird to the point I don't even try to comprehend it.

Repulsorlift alone doesn't make any sense. Look at this s--t: Starwars.wikia.com

"Something, something, knots of space-time (???) something, something, black holes."

And some people still wonder why everything was declared "Legends".

And as for the AT-AT, and all other walkers for that matter, aren't there environments where Repulsorlift doesn't work? It's even in the game.

Walkers are more reliable, dont need continuous power to hold their ground or stand still, they can just crush their way trough forests, they are more imposing to the defenders, They dont fall down like a brick when EMP'd, AT-ATs high profile makes for an excellent fire position withouth needing a massive lift etc.. Think

@_w_ The discussion wasn't walkers VS repulsorlift, Enprememi said why use walkers when you have all that other tech.

AT-AT more imposing than Repulsorlift vehicles?
-Maybe.
More imposing, stable or energy efficient than tanks (with wheels (like Juggernaut) or caterpillar tracks ( Starwars.wikia.com))?
-Hell no!

You clearly don't have any clue of how incredibly stupid you sound here, so I'm going to spell it out for you:

"Not in a milion years, that's not old republic content, that's a clone trooper, screw everything about that I'm not turning this into a clone wars wanna be mod like they turned TOR into a clone wars wanna be mmo."
This says: I don't like the TOR armor, because of the reason mentioned, so I'm not using it.

This walker, I do like, thus I'm using it.

Perhaps you didn't read what I wrote. Try reading the lenght comment I made about selfentitled little ***** and how this mod is not in any way canon but what I want to make with an overall old republic theme. Thinking apparently is really hard.

Description

Sith heavy assault vehicle. Heaviest vehicle in the game too.

All credit to Enpremi for making an awesome model and texture and then animating everything from scratch. Because importing animations is overrated.
