I saw this fleet moving towards a relatively undefender planet. As it happened, I had my main fleet stationed 1 planet away with a hyperspace lane attached. So I moved it over asap and managed to get there before the republic fleet, so I thought to myself: "Have fun headbutting that armada"

Me too. But it always brings a smile to my face when I destroy them and think, that they have just lost a fleet in a battle, that they thought will be an easy picking. Always launching a counter-attack, right after the victory, and making them pay.
Hehe yeah, the AI does that pretty much allways.
