If someone told me this from a cutscenes for a new KOTOR game, I would've believe him.

Description

Yesterday and today I finished the Sith Frigate Mercenary and the Hammerhead Mercenary variants.

These ships do not resemble their original forms in any way. Mercenaries can sometimes get a hold of military grade equipment, or in this case, ships. They then take the ships, strip it down and pack all firepower they have onto that ship. The result is a ship with stronger shields and heavier weapons. They also cost far more to hire than to construct a regular warship, but are generally far more effective at taking out their respective targets.

Sith Frigate Merc: Armed with 6 heavy mass drivers and 4 heavy laser cannons. Anti frigate. It is faster due to an engine refit, and has stronger shields.

Hammerhead Merc: Armed with 2 long range turbolasers, 3 heavy turbolasers (2 turreted) one light turbolaser, one ion cannon and 2 heavy laser cannons turreted). Anti capital. It holds up the Hammerheads general high speed, but has slower turning speed and weaker shields due to the high power requirements of the long range turbolasers. (the only other ship that has long range turbolasers is the Strident or "Sadow" class as I like to call it, the strident design is fanon.") Pirates aquired build plans for the new Thranta class heavy turbolaser turrets, and build them on the sides of the hammerhead. Truely a make-shift design.

Quite frankly the Hammerhead looks like it has giant subwoofers on its head, which looks quite rediculous but it fits the Mercenary idea imo.

Comment what you think about it,
