Hehe, and more will come. My modeler is going to redo the front and then ad even more turrets to it.

may i ask... who's your modeler?
looks cool.. but take a look at the polycount... i think, with this mass of turrets, it will be really high... and maybe slow down the game on older computers (as mine)...
just a thing you should think about...

Well, I'm not really going to lower graphic quality. The mod is for high end game computers.
Those turrets look way too high poly. If you have multiple of those ships on the same map in battle, it might break FOC. Don't forget FOC is an old game, if you have too many very high poly ships in battle at the same time FOC could stop running.
Plus if you want lots of people to play your mod I suggest you find a middle ground for graphics, because not everyone has a newer high end computer. You might have the most detailed mod but if no one can play it or it lags PCs terribly beyond playability then what's the point, the phrase is quality over quantity, not quality over playability.
I'm pretty sure this ship is gonna be a hero unit. Imagine if the Republic fleet was surrounded b these beasts!

Looks Ok. Not a bad design. It could use some tweaks though. One would be that those turrets look way to high poly. If you're going to use some extra polys...why not use them on the actual ship body instead of the fairly small turrets?
Purplepeopleeater...give it a rest. I have a pretty nice computer so it's not like I'm whining that my computer can't run it. What I'm saying is that if he decides to make this mod for more high end computers, there are better places to waste polys than the turrets on a ship.
ok i knew a bunch of people would get offended by my comment but there is a difference between constructive critisism and "your gonna break the game" "my comps gonan break" "i cant play that"..so geronimo can you do me a favor and delete my comment before it gets buried by bad karma from people who probably couldnt tell you if they even have a vista or an xp...or win 7
that's it.. look.. i havn't say it for myself.. i haven't any problems with it, even if i have an old computer... i can live with lag's, and maybe, i will buy a new computer in the next months..
but there are a lot of other guy's, who maybe haven't super-gaming-machines... i have spoken for them... thats the reason why i set myself in bracket's... not everybody in this world think's egoistical.. ;)
Don't worry so much guys, the Turrets you see are only place holders, as new / better ones are being made, there are also plans to rebuild that front section of the vessel and and more detail to the ship it's self.
However, your criticism IS welcome as we are making a mod for the community, - Just keep it constructive and all will be good.

They comments about playability on lesser computers is very valid, though I have always had a state of the art computer and never had such problems, but I can well imagine how frustrating it would be not being able to play a mod that one has been waiting a long time for.
However, Note that the "main version the mod will remain as detailed, and computer heavy without exception.
But I have an idea, we will have a poll, And if enough of you vote, we will look into making perhaps a patch that will make the mod less heavy for some of you. But that is for another post.

Btw that's not any offence of any kind to warb, you should really continue to model, this is not critisism, just saying something.
And, to further reinforce, seeing as people can tend to over react.
WorbNull is one of the great Modelers here, as are many others, Geronimo is not saying they are going to out done, just that he he has very high expectations, of the new model.
I'd have to agree with Enceladus up there: I like the design on this ship, but the detail level between the turrets and the main hull is disproportionate...more detail should be in the hull and less in the turrets.
Those turrets would be good for a freestanding emplacement though (like land turbolaser towers).
Don't worry, As mentioned many times now, the turrets are only place holders on the ship, Which is also getting more detail. It was only after the model had been made that the scale of the ship had been decided.
In this mod we are aiming to only bring the very best of what we can offer, but we are still a long way off from the place where we would like to be, so hold on keep with us.
