Old Republic mod for Forces of Corruption. Exactly as it says on the tin.
DON'T FORGET TO WATCH THE NEW GC BATTLE VIDEO: Moddb.com
It's awesome.
Here's some shots from another battle. Space stations now spawn more reinforcements and faster, meaning you HAVE to work your way to the actual space station and destroy the hanger, else you'll be overrun. Now a level 5 station will actually be able to defend itself rather than having to station a large fleet there. Be sure to bring a large assault force if you're going to attack a high level space station.
How do you make the units hyperspace in at different levels? Is that difficult?
Not really, check the forum over at everythingeaw.com
Sorry to bother, im just trying to make units at different heights. The link doesnt work.
Epic. The Mando's will rise once again!
This will really be a challenge now, I'm looking forward to this.
Also, GC wise, will every planet be able to build level five space stations? Or will it be exclusive to some planets like vinalla?
That's still like vanilla. Might change this though, and increase station cost, so that instead of the artificial limit, you'd not want to build level 5s everywhere while you technically have the ability to.
Good move. Starbase should be anchor of defense: sturdy, resourceful, expensive but not with countless forces (anyway).
So does making the station a priority mean that the AI will be more aggressive about attacking it as well?
One of the problems with the vanilla's GC AI was that it dragged its feet during space battles; most of the time I could just sit back with my defense fleet and destroy enemy ships as they came just one or a few at a time, swarming them with my station's constantly-replenishing supply of fighters the whole time.
Even this mod's AI doesn't feel aggressive enough at times. There's been a few matches where my station didn't have anything defending it and was only a few hardpoints away from destruction, yet the enemy AI for whatever reason just stayed at my station's outskirts and gave me time to make a comeback instead of delivering the final blow.
That's why infinite, constantly-replenishing ships in starbases was bad idea. There should be some substantial forces in each starbase but limited. If they're gone, that' end.
