Turrets are working thanks to Darkawakening, who can still do some small things now and then besides his real life. Mando is still working on perfectionating the shadow, so that should be done pretty soon aswell.
The turrets wont go through the brigde, and not to far out of the brigde, and thanks to the horrible ship alignment that is unfortunatly unfixable you'll have to direct your hammerheads so move towards the enemy ship you want to attack and then hit stop, if you just attack it the ship'll show its side, and there's nothing in the side that can shoot at other ships, only fighters and bombers. It's a small thing but it's one of those things that just make it that little bit nicer. Also we've already made bones for adding a glow to the bridge, that should make it look even more awesome.
Credit to Mando for detatching the turrets first and the shadow mesh and then to Darkawakening for the fixing of the turrets. And ofcourse the great Warb_Null for the standard hammerhead model, and me for modding the skin and messing up the bumpmap.
Working turrets add so much to the realism factor of a game, it is shame more modders do not invest in this detail.

As I mentioned a lot of times I love turrets and I love adding more of them into the game, and I think I know who's next, the republic dreadnought.
The only problem with turrets is if too many they eat up polys. Causing low end computers or even the game engine itself to lag from trying to control so many at once.
