First off, I'm pretty impressed with this mod. It brings the game into a whole new level of action; kudos to you guys for making it.

The one thing I'm not satisfied with is the blood effects. When trying to modify this aspect, I discovered that my system.ltx file was missing. I tried to replace it, but it always causes the game to crash on startup. (I can modify pretty much any other file and it works perfectly, but never system.ltx)

Any advice? Is there an OGSE-specific version of the system.ltx file that I need to use? Because I can't seem to find it, even when using the extraction tool.

The mod is packed into db* archives. So first of all you need to unpack the dbe, dbf and so on until the end of these archives. The location and content of some files were changed. You will find all you need using text search capabilities.

I tried that before--but I took your advice and tried it again. Worked like a charm this time, thanks!

Only one other issue I've found: I can't seem to fire the Product 62 rifle, despite having tons of ammo for it. When I click the fire button, it just zooms in.

I can't seem to fire the Product 62 rifle, despite having tons of ammo for it.

It means the only thing: you managed somehow not to install the content of BIN folder - the modified xrGame.dll. Reinstall the mod.

I tried reinstalling, but it seems to cause even more problems. Every time I use the modified bin files, it causes the same "couldn't find procedure entry point" crash that some other users have been getting. This happens despite the fact I followed the install instructions (ensuring the game is patched to 1.0005, etc) precisely.

I'm gonna monkey around a bit, see if I can get it working.

EDIT: Fortunately, I was able to improvise a solution. For anyone else who gets my error, the trick is to go into the weapon's ltx file and change its class from WP_BINOC to WP_SVD. It's not a perfect solution, but it works well enough.
