I just picked up a second gen detector from the barkeep. How is it to be used? Will the artifact show up on your map?

Detectors on Autumn Aurora actually showed up on the map which was sweet.
Now all we need is the option to bind its key. Right now its on F8.
Only scientific detector (which is presented on the screenshot) will be displaying anomalies and rad. zones on mini map. The rest ones are able only to beep. But all detectors allow to seek artifacts in the high grass. The most powerful detector has much more discovery distance and a useful screen.
Detectors are placed in the arm with 8 key. This key can not be changed - it was realized on the engine level.
Can you make the artifacts invisible, like in CS and COP? It will be great to hunt them with the detector, just like in the more modern Stalker games.
We don't want to make then invisible. I assure you that you pass by the any non-bright artifact in the high grass.
Also we hate CS and CoP :D
All sounds good. One question though, we will be able to throw bolts and hold the detector at the same time?
No. The detectors in the arms is the fantastic breakthru for SHoC, but even the most fantastic functionality has its limits. Moreover it's not needed. If you hold scientific detector the anomalies are displayed on the screen along with artifacts. Why do you need bolts?
The "bear" detector does not show you where the anomalies are.
Well, nothing prevents you from a little walk to Sakharov. BTW, near his bunker there's one stash, where this scientific detector contains.
