Companion options Thread - Old Good STALKER Evolution mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

Hello, I got some questions about my companion.

1. I can give my companion gear for free, but when I want it back I have to pay, why is that so?

2. Can I give my companion a suit of my choice and make him wear it?

3. Can I take all the weapons from my companion and give him only one and make him use it all the time?

Not sure about the first two

Yes you can tell your companion to use a certain type of weapon (pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, machine gun, sniper rifle). I think he will use the "best" one for each category; so for ex. if he has an AK and a GK36, the will use the GK36 (i have not confirmed this). Also, make sure the gun is loaded when you give it to him (they will have infinite ammo once it's in their inventory)

I believe they also need a medkit to heal and you can give them grenades to use as well

I still have a problem, I collected about 10 records for the barkeep already but I don't know how to give them to him?

For the records, just activate the jukebox while they are in your inventory, and you will be able to select any of them to play.

Yes you can give your companion armor which they will wear if it's better. You have to pay to get stuff back from your companion so that you will not use your companion simply as a mobile stash for thousands of kilos of gear, which would make the game less survivalist, and also messes with loading when you move between areas.
