I wait until dark, at around 2200, all of them have there headlamps going. Everything is almost pitch black, I can barely see, but the guy at the top of the stairs spots me no matter what I do. Is there no way to sneak in there anymore? I would rather not bring the might of the Spetznaz down on me for just a few docs.

You can do that if you are fast, but if you barely see, you will need a night vision device, i think Sid sells the old one.

And beware the spotlights.

Is it normal for the soldiers inside the barrack to wake up every few seconds? Like, they sit down, sleep, and after 2-3 seconds they wake up and then sit down again.........

Normal.

I just indulged in a little mass murder and stole all their stuff to sell to Sid, got an item needed later on as well.
