Black and White 2: Of Gods and Mortals was to be the first fan-created expansion pack for our beloved god game from 2005. With it's current direction, OGaM will now be an Open-Source game project still with the aim to replicate systems from Black and White 1.

Daxter outlines OGaM's new direction as well as it's current progress.

Hello everyone,

It's been quite a number of years since I've developed Of Gods and Mortals for Black and White 2. My real life back then was so hectic, I could literally not put much time into this game, however, this has now changed. :]

Let me get this site up to date on what's going down with OGaM and make some clarifications.

First, there will be no Black and White 2 multiplayer, this was promised a long time ago but lessons were learned and I won't promise it being a thing anytime in the future.

Secondly, the game has had some significant updates since it was last updated here on Moddb. Along with tweaks and additions to the God AI, there has been the added functionality of scaffolding. The premise behind this system is take away the fiddly functionality of the toolbar and bring back the world interaction. Those of you who played Black and White 1 may remember this system well and I'm doing the very best I can to replicate that system for OGaM.

Lastly, there's a few other things on their way down the road of development, I've also changed the development structure of the whole thing as well as address it's status more clearer. The game will fall into smaller versions from alpha to beta to demo and finally release.

If you are interested in finding out more, please check out ALL the updates over on kayssplace.com in the OGaM thread of the forums. Also please take a chance to watch all the alpha videos for OGaM that have been released in the past month or two.

If you are still keen on sticking around and following this journey, I appreciate it. Thankyou for taking the time to read this article and any support given.

Cheers,
Daxter :]

Aye. The classic case of that one old game that is mint quality but has barely anyone willing to mod it.

Will the "[OUTDATED]" V5 work with the current version of the game? (2016)?
