you should defiantly include the C.D.C. some where in the story. if this did happen they would be all over it.
also have you read World War Z by Max Brooks? if not you should check it out. its got heaps of interesting situations that could help with your story. I'm NOT saying your story needs help, its excellent, I just know how much inspiration and information I need when I'm working on a project.
