That is an installation error. Did you use "Build 14 Beta 3 Part 1: Installation Wizard". If not, make sure you do so.
If you did, Windows Security Stupidity probably messed things up again. Try installing to a different folder, OUTSIDE Program Files. Try your desktop if nothing else works.

In case of security issues, you never get an actual error message. You just get the effects because the installer is not allowed to do what it needs to do.
All I can suggest is to either:
1. Disable as many background programs as possible, especially ones related to security.
2. Install to a different folder. C:\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean usually works for me. But your desktop might be even safer.
3. If you have access to another computer, install it using that one and put it on an external HD. Once you've got a working install, it can be transferred anywhere quite easily.
Unfortunately these security issues make it quite impossible to ensure the installation process works. I've tried for many years, but it just gets harder with each new Windows update.
never mind the buggy buildings disapeared at some time when it passed,however,i was wondering where can i buy tier 1 ship,im admiral rank reached and i guess i would buy better ship,the problem is i dont know where..,most shipyards i visit has only from tier 8 to 5
Tier 1 ships are always pretty rare and are only ever sold in the largest towns. Jamaica usually has a fair chance. But town size can change over time. Check the tavern rumours for random town events.
Of course Vanderdecken always has some special Tier 1 ships available.

thanks,just got a victory ship but its so ghostly made 0_o,how to say,sails are creepy,has some particles around it,but like the steam ships,i wonder if you can make an ironclad warship :D,i wonder how i can also buy or from where to get le soleil royal,i cant even see it in any enemy fleets to capture ;(
Sounds like you got yourself cursed. You need to get rid of any Aztec Coins you've got.
We don't have the people to make much of anything anymore. So there won't be any new ships for a good long while.
The Soleil Royal is only available in the Spanish Main and Golden Age of Piracy time periods. However, you can use the console method from that FAQ page to get her.

That means in storylines starting between 1600 and 1739. The time periods are shown in the Select Storyline interface before you start a new game.

Golden Age of Piracy is 1680-1739.
You'll have to lift the curse if you don't like it. But you could also make use of it. Put the coins in your weaponslocker to make your crew extra-strong during night-time.
They'll be everywhere.
great!,so even if i play the aubrey story line that adds the new nation usa i guess il be fighting that french man o war from 200 years ago xD

i wish all ships were included in 1 storyline,i mean,i enabled the cheatmode just to see what class 1 ships are available,however the the le soleil royale is in the golden age ones,but some ships arent there as well,however the colony or the napoleonic age has the victory and other ships but no le soleil royal :(
That's real history. Not all ships existed at the same time.
However, you can easily change this. Open PROGRAM\Ships\Ships_init.c and set PERIOD_ACCURACY_LEVEL to 0 at the top of that file. Load your savegame, then press F11 to reinitialize. Then you'll have EVERYTHING at the same time. It won't make historical sense though.
will i be able to fight them in the world map as well? :D

i start the game everything ok but when i enter sea it turns into black screen

That ship looks like 70 gun battleship. i have a old one that has nathaniel hawk in it so i got the red battleship with black sails. they look awesome though

Part 1 + Part 2 is indeed everything.
Whenever I install this on my unmodified stock game, it says "missing build info.txt" and then not finishes the installation? How can I fix this?
Somebody on our forum had that problem as well. Apparently that was caused by the 7-Zip archive download being corrupted. If you have 7-Zip on your computer, try to extract the contents manually and see if that gives any error messages. If it does, try redownloading.
I somehow fixed it by reinstalling everything again. Thanks for the reply though!

my game wont even start, it gives me a microsoft c++ runtime error.
Check your main game folder for the .log files. Is there an error.log? If so, what is in it? Hopefully that will tell us what is wrong.
i need help i cant play a new game when i do i get a black screen i installed it in the right place like it says the default potc is in program files and the mod is in c games mod

I have the same issue, in the error.log stands:
COMPILE ERROR - file: seadogs.c; line: 1
can't load file: BuildSettings.h
That is operator error. You installed it wrong.

Hey i tryed everything... it all starts up and i can move through the menu and select game mode etc but when i enter game whole screen gets black... i can go to carecter menu and main menu but nothing else any idea to solve problem plz.
