I started modifying games many years ago, when I first made reskins of existing ships and eventually made new ship models myself for the sailing simulator Virtual Sailor. After doing this for a couple of years, I joined the PiratesAhoy! forums and ended up taking over modpack compiling for the Pirates of the Caribbean Build Mod from the notorious Nathan Kell. As such I have contributed to the release of Build 13 Final and am still active in the development for Build 14: New Horizons. In real life, I am studying at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam to become a maritime officer and as such I have now sailed ten months on the Holland America Line cruiseship MS Zuiderdam as Cadet Officer.

I do not have time to answer any mod-related questions for the coming two months.
Please ask on Forum.piratesahoy.net and I am sure that the other members there will do what they can to help you.
The reason is that at the moment I am working as a Fourth Officer aboard a cruiseship and have very little spare time and internet access is slow and expensive.

hello sir pieter..i play the build 14 alpha 8 but i have a problem when i fire cannons there is a lag..is this a bug?
Hello, Sir Pieter! I am a big fan of the game- played it when it was released, back in russia... then i moved to canada and forgot about it for three years. and suddenly i discovered something new- the build mods. that brought the game back to life. i had been following the mods since the thireenth. i am really eager to help with the modding, but i dont know where to start. even though i never modded a game before i am willing to try, if possible. do you have any suggestions what to do? and also, what software do i need to get?

hello sir pieter boelen..im done installing build 14 and i follow the instruction and it works good.i already have an endeavour..=) i wish the soleil royal and sovereign of the seas have in build 14.=)

Get the most recent Build 14 Alpha version; the Endeavour is included there.
Game wont start up unless i start up throug config mode and then its just the normal version it install heres some info first.
i am using Vista.
The game run perfect wo the patches.
when i install the patches i do following all in RUN AS ADMIN mode
in this order
Build13 Final
b14_alpha9 (in download list its called Build 14 Alpha 9 Full)
b14_alpha9-5 (here i did also run the Runme file
b14_alpha9-5_patch4
(i have also tryed to install the B14_alpha9-5_patch1 to patch4
and here aswell i did Runme file.
still it crashes when i try to start it up
