This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.
The Gathians are a vassal race of the UCI and have been so since the UCI's first succesful war since their seperation from the TEF. The war began when an unmanned drone encountered what appeared to be a small outpost of an unknown race. This caused a stir within the scientific community as races capable of FTL (most which have so far have been less then friendly)where few and far between. The UCI high command dispatched a small fleet to make contact. The battle group consisted of a Brawler and three Warthogs, and was led by a Captain Thresdan. Upon arrival they found the outpost to be under attack by another unknown alien race. Who the UCI should help was made clear when the ships attacking the planet opened fire on the Battlegroup. The Belr ships outnumbered the UCI heavily however the race apeared to be far less advanced then the UCI and was quickly delt with. Two years later the nomadic Belr had left the region due to extreme loses and was never seen again. In the years that followed several agreements where made between the Gathian Republic and the UCI the most important one being the UCI's agreement to help patrol and protect Gathian space in return for becoming a vassal of the UCI. The Xaldoran Class cruiser is one of the ways in which the Gathians are repaying the UCI. The Xaldoran is a civilian starship normally used in mining asteroids. However with UCI upgrades to its already sturdy frame it has made excelent use as support cruiser generaly following behind the main fleet repairing damaged ships.
