Set in modern Sourcemodding community, the mod revolves primarily around YOU, a battle-hardened Modder who has returned into modmaking to continue the work on his project.
Experience the Sourcemodding portrayed as 3D Hotline-Miami-inspired campaign about psychological difficulties and philosophy of people that try their best at keeping Valve's games alive.

heard about this mod right when it released (I think) but only just now got around to playing it, and holy ****. it's good. very good. not only do hotline miami's gameplay mechanics translate seamlessly into a 3D environment, but I can also relate to a lot of the stuff said during the cutscenes. I also really like the visual style of the maps, which give this mod it's own unique identity. 10/10

Well there was already an attempt to recreate Hotline Miami in Source Engine at Moddb.com (empty currently) (also by the Russian creator) and even in "Gold Source" engine at Moddb.com
And incidentally they are also by Russian developers as well.
Just that most of these mods probably didn't come as close as this 1 - this 1 still has problems, an attempt to recreate Hotline Miami was technically already in 1 mod called "Gordon Freakman 2" at Moddb.com - this mod already had the bat from Hotline Miami, bars and stuff.
However this doesn't make this mod bad though...
Technically they didn't come as close as this 1 did - and it's not that bad, there may be required a music change but it's OK.

This mod is crazy fun to play and despite the Hotline Miami concept not being new, it's used very well here.
This was amazing, been playing HL2 mods for a very long time and i have not had this much fun in a long time with any game/mod. Interesting to hear about the "dark side" of the modding community, didn't even know there was one. Hope you are doing well SellFace and thanks for the awesome mod.
