For the time being it's permanent, but I'm planning on turning it attachable.
you dont really need to remove the PSO-1 optic to use the iron sights
as you can see here the PSO-1 optic is situated well above the iron sights thus allowing you to use either when you want but just reorienting you line of sight IR looking through the scope or looking under it through the irons :P
