A Swedish licensed adaptation of the FN FNC. Despite having "AK" as a name it has nothing to do with the kalashnikov family, "AK" in Swedish means "Automatkarbin", Assault Rifle that is. The original AK5 was produced in 1986 by Bofors Carl Gustaf, and instead of getting replaced by a newer rifle, it got revised and upgraded to better versions, AK5B and AK5C.
The Ak 5C is the modernized version of the original Ak 5, following the trend of modular weapons. This version comes with several beneficial features, such as increased reliability, shortened barrel, reduced weight, adjustable buttstock, automatic bolt catch "which will be used when reloading instead of pulling the bolt", and many more. The most notable feature is the picatinny rail system which allows a wide variety of optics and sights to be mounted.
This rifle should have "From Sweden with love" engraved on its sides =D
Something crucial I must mention here, Roman "r_pop, OWR author" have issued me with a new script for 3DS MAX, this script fixes ALL smoothing issues I've been facing with guns, this results in weapons with zero smoothing issues, this means we're get weapons that were impossible to have due to smoothing issues! This gun is the first to experience with. all heil the zone! :D

And no, you can't remove that sight, neither can you attach Acog or Susat, maybe the next variant can. The reason for that is the engine, it will bug the stock when you use iron sights. Maybe if I can slam some new iron sights than yes, we will be able to use attachable scopes.
What about the silencer, is removable?
Not sure if you are joking or being serious, so here is an answer with the same caliber :
The trigger, the handguard, the receiver, the barrel, the stock, the silencer, everything is removable but the sight.
Interesting gun , never heard of it.

Looks really cool. When I saw the name, I thought this was a modernized version of the AK-5 chambered in 9x39. Since this sort of looks like a pimped AK-12 and all. That would have been cool. Then again the ak that uses 9x39 is the AK-9. So I dont know what I was thinking.
Anyways, is there a USAS-12 among those weapons that you couldnt had before?? Sorry for bringing the unicorn shotgun, but Im curious. :D

USAS12 hasn't been added yet, still have it in mind, in fact, it's one of those easy to add weapons, I don't even need to compile or look for animations, it's already in Shoker mod, but it's not time yet :D

Only reason I never requested this gun is because its such a rare thing, that I thought it would never be acepted. But it would be really cool.
It made an apperance in many of my favourite games aswell. First at Far cry 1 ofc. :)
Technically it could be added using the following explanation.
As quoted in the video above, the guy says there was major foreign interest in the gun. So using that as a base we can just say that some small Russian manufacturer in the Stalker universe picked up the blueprints and started their own production line. In small batches, like the exo's. Make it rare, and expensive, and boom, it fits. :)
I'd love this thing in MDT, maybe Mp5 will see this suggestion and roll the idea around a bit ;)

RPD is here already, though I've never posted about it but it has been added. Haven't got my hands on the others yet.
"Automatkarbin" sounds more like automatic carbine when translated instead of an assault rifle. But great job, as always!
Yes it does, but that is the swedish term for assault rifle.
