I'm thinking about putting both of them in the game, but they will cost a little more performance, and there is not much of a difference, it's just the stock, either open or closed, what do you guys suggest ? keeping them both or just one ? if we keep them both there will be a slight difference between them, one will have a little better control and a little closer to your face :v
If you guys are wondering about the heavy load of updates than it's because we're done with exams, summer time already started here :D so yeah, updates all the way until 2.2 is out, only than the real updates will start!
is there anyway to make the stock an item that comes with all uzis? like all the NPCs have the stock out, but the stock can be "detached" (folded) for whatever benefit folding the stock would give youand the icon sits in your iventory of the stock, and when you put it back on you just attach it again
That could be possible only if the game itself provides such feature, but it does not, Shoker 3 and Gunslinger managed to get such feature working, I can't do that, but I might be able go get a closer approach using the old Shoker attachments system.
I see you reskinned it. Looks far better then the previous one you showed. Mainly because the skin looks exactly the same as the amazing IMI UZI.
About what UZi to keep. well, both of course. theres a performance diference between the big daddy UZI and the mini. IMI UZI as a slower rate of fire, but easier to control and more range. Mini UZI as a faster rate of fire, with less weight and better mobility, but alsow harder to control and with less range. One thing that you could possibly do, is create two versions of TAZ. One for low spec computers with most of the alternative weapons removed to increase performance, and another TAZ with all the toys for players that want more, more and more. like me. :D
Call it TAZ light and TAZ armory.
Maybe you could get some help in creating an actual TAZ installer like Misery, that provides the choice between wich TAZ people want to install. cant someone in MDT give you a hand with that maybe?
And finally, its great to see the heavy updates comming. Especially when you and Nick work together in bringing great weapons and variants.
That's actually a third UZI xD it's the Mini :p the other one I showed beside the standard UZI was the "Micro" UZI, the Micro is the smallest one among the three, the one here is the Mini which is slightly smaller than the standard, so now we may get three versions of UZI, the big, the MINI, and the Micro.
Yuya "Ponney68" is the one responsible of the installer, I might ask him someday about the installer, but making a whole alternative TAZ is something I never thought about, I don't really think people would like giving away several weapons in order to gain more performance, I would choose to lower the settings instead :p the alternative solution for performance I have in mind is to make a light textures pack, this is something I decided to do long time ago, TAZ uses many HD textures, I remember I found a dds with resolutions higher than 20k :p can you imagine the performance hit this single weapon have ? just lowering their sizes will boost the performance a lot, let's say 15 up to 20 fps will be gained, so this is my goal instead of dropping weapons, people won't accept that anyways xD
I'm already thinking about using the Alha Misery 2.2 and start with the new TAZ, but again the possibility of it being reworked again keep holding me :p I will check with Marcin and see if the weapons will be reworked or not.
Yeah, a lite version would be nice, for the weaker computers so that they could still be able to experience TAZ.
I recalled a mod that retextures Star Wars Jedi Academy that screws with older computers, the author even decided to make a lite version so that everyone may enjoy the good work.
Maybe it can be done with TAZ?
Low textures pack is always better for low-end PCs, that's surely my goal after releasing the next update.

Taking off weapons will never be a wise call especially in a mod like this, TAZ is a weapons mod, and removing one weapon call and will make some people sad "including me", as I said, I rather lower the graphics settings to its lowest instead of removing a single weapon, will you accept it if I tell you that I'll remove the VSSK in order to make a lite/light version ?
Yeah, bae weapons shouldnt be removed. At least the base variants. What I was sugesting was making a TAZ version with less weapon variants. Say a weapon that has 5 diferent variants like "rusty, standard, alternate, modern, custom" you could remove the alternate variant and keep the other 4. If this could save some memory usage or what not, then some people could find this usefull without missing out a all lot. For me i want all the weapons and their variants for sure. I rather buy a full new PC then use a TAZ with less guns. xD
But the idea of making another TAZ version with lighter textures could alsow work. Not sure if this would require more work, but if you are up for it, then best of luck. And please dont remove the VSSK. :3
Of course I'm up to the scalled textures, I already have the needed tool for that =D just grab all the dds and put them in one folder and fire it up, but removing a single gun is not something I would think about :p I will actually try to NOT port everything I find, that's the only thing I can promise you :D
The VSSK is just an example :p besides, you won't find it anywhere, it's just in a one single mission where you can find it after all :p
awww shyt. This is one of those guns I truly wanted. Damn. Now all we need is that elusive Bizon in the game.

Yeah, I asked for one of the variants, but I'm thinking about keeping them both :3 variants are always matter m8.
