Part 3

Now the interesting part, for all static light users “and mid-reg users too”, Eotech, Kobra, Reflex, Aimpoint, and similar sights are usable under static light settings, so don’t worry that you won’t be able to use guns with these wonderful sights, the image with AUG-A2 and Customized AK74 was taken using static light settings, not dynamic or DX10, so rest assured that you can enjoy the game even using DX8 “static light”. It is a shader addon made by CTAHNKA and delivered to me by DarkTigerPT, so let’s thank both guys. One more thing I noticed using static light, a lens of a Remington 700 was reflecting the sky as long as you’re moving, that’s quite something, I’ve never noticed this before in STALKER games, and I believe I know how to get it working with other guns, sadly it requires reworking all guns which have a scope, and that’s not easy, I’ll keep it in mind though.

In some mods the sights are attachable and detachable, like the original scopes in Vanilla. Are all of the sights (close range and long range) detachable or are the guns compatible with those sort of their "own guns"? For example, if I had some AK with a Kobra-sight, could I remove it and attach something else instead? Or is that gun an AK with a Kobra-sight and then there is another AK without, if you get what I'm asking?
Keep up the good work! This was an interesting read. Before the big release, you should do a stress test of sorts by maybe actually trying to cause a bug/glitch/crash with this mod installed. If you fail in causing a problem, you have succeeded in creating a stable mod. Nothing breaks the immersion more than a corrupted save or unexplainable bug. Thanks

Concerning sights, for now only 2D scopes are interchangeable, PSO and 1P29 for AK families "though both sights will use the same model when attached". Switching between 2D and 3D sights isn't possible for now, it is a helluva task making this available for such a heavy mod, we might try and do this some day, but the chances are very low.

As for stress test, you can rest assured that we will do at least three stress test and make sure nothing is wrong, so far things are good, I've been killing NPCs left and right trying to see how far it'll get me? Made it to Jupiter and came back to Zaton four times, the CTDs I encountered are logical and got fixed, but surely a more serious test will take place when time comes :)

Description

I decided that it's time to step into another area of modding, NPCs loadout, so I went through all required files and altered them. I put almost all the new weapons in the targetted files, Freedom, Duty, Mercs, Stalkers, Army, Monoliths, and Zombied stalkers, Bandits benefit from almost all factions, so they didn't have anything to alter. Than I added all the new stuff to mp_ranks.ltx so I don't face any ranking related CTD, than edited a few key NPCs and gave them their own weapons, Vano, Noah, Jack "I messed up this one and put the gun in the wrong NPC, but fixed it", than for the first time using TAZ I went with a quick playthrough, and since it's for testing purpose I spawned some goods to ease things up, than went on with my journey.
