Looks more like a Pokemon ball. I'm certain the central ring was never that bright, or big!
Our rule for the toy design is to scale up the distinctive elements of the vessels. In that case it's the "weapon dish", the outer hull plates and the trench. Its hard to let a sphere look like a toy, when the original ship is a simple sphere as well. The bright light is a result of the post work in Photoshop to get an interesting lighting of an night scene. In-game it looks less bright.
Excellent work... the lighting for block LEDs on toys works perfectly great job...
