The 'Middle Earth Roleplaying Project' aims to recreate J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Creation engine of 'Skyrim'. The player will be plunged into Middle Earth near the end of the Third Age, not long before the War of the Ring breaks out.

Amazing track :O
The flutes are awesome. They always make for such amazing exploration atmosphere :D
agreed! :D
the lead woodwind is a little bamboo pipe I picked up in a craft fair in San Antonio for $5 - great little instrument.....
Yeah we can hear...!
Can't beat the cheap sh*t.....these are some old tracks as well (2 years old) hope to get some new stuff done soon.
Can't wait to listen to more from you! I enjoy it every time I listen to some of the tracks from MERP!
Well, this shows again that the price of an instrument doesn't significantly matter. It's the person playing the instrument that's important (ofcourse). For instance, I think that Mark Knopfler would make every guitar out there (provided that it's properly tuned) sound awesome ;)
True, the man's a living legend! :D
u sir are a very talented musician and will make the journeys to come quite mystical.
This is just truly beautiful.
Why isn't there a like button here?!? :D
There is a 'Share' button ;)
Really reminds me of David Arkenstone. He did some Celtic/Irish music that I really liked, and also made some of the music for World of Warcraft (I think), and is an amazing composer. Well done, Abbottaerospace!
exactly my thought. I loved that music from him, so.. well I cannot really describe it in English, it was magnificent however. :)
The Rohan music I have written (there are other great pieces from other composers as well) are loosely based on an appropriately titled Irish folk song called 'when I was on horseback'. It's a great melody and I've wanted to use it for Rohan for years.....
Not that I'm in any position to tell you guys how to make this mod (cuz I think you're doing an amazing job so far), but I would absolutely fall 110 % in love with it if the soundtrack had a lot of Celtic-styled music in it. It's one of my most favorite music genres, and would fit so perfectly into the world of Middle Earth. :)
I agree - although there are different cultures in middle earth none of them are particularly celtic (in the story book sense),but I do love celtic music......
So gorgeous! If you get a chance, buy any of the songbird ocarinas and use it. They sound beautiful too!
Thanks - I will check them out.
As strange as this might sound, a suggestion I have would be to make it less... good? If you could have it less involved, because in places it was quite quick and layered, that would be great. The way I understand it, this world is (hopefully) going to be absolutely huge, so unless we just have ambience during adventuring (which I wouldn't exactly be against, to be honest), I would like some slow-paced music to chill out to, like the beginning and ending of this song.
Other than that I love it, it reminds me of playing Stronghold for the first time, killing wolves with an archer. Brilliant work, and I hope you guys get to keep working on this mod, it seems like an enormous undertaking, but it does seem like it's (finally) doing justice to what I imagined first reading the books.
