Why did I decide to do a Medieval total war themed mod
Well, yesterday I was playing Medieval total war 2 and I was doing really well on the game by taking the whole of Europe with England; then out of no where, a awesome idea popped in to my head!! Why not make a Medieval total war 2 mod for Mount and blade Warband. It will basically be the same as Medieval Total war 2 except you can do more things and be able to fight battles as a soldier on the front line!

What the mod is about

This mod will be set in time 1066 when William the Conquer had just defeated the Anglo - Saxons and had just created a new country called England!! If you have ever played Medieval total war 2 then you will know what I am talking about.

Factions (Most of them will be in the final mod I am sure)

- The Byzantine Empire
- Denmark
- Egypt
- England
- France
- The holy roman empire
- Hungary
- Milan
- Mongols
- Moors
- The papal states
- Poland
- Portugal
- Russia
- Scotland
- Sicily
- Spain
- Timurids
- Turks
- Venice

All ready existing features
I am sure you have all played my Realistic Mod by now, and the features in that mod will also be in this mod including a butch of new things!

New features
Things I will try and add to the mod:

- More prisoner options
- Better quest
- Add religion
- Add to be able to call crusades
- Better ship battles
- Raiding monasteries and churches on the map and other religious temples
- Be able for you to buy a house like in the Nova Aetas mod, but to try and make more options
- More siege options
- Be able to sack towns and villages(Sack means raise to the ground or destroy them completely)
- Be able to create new towns and villages also to make the AI do it too when one of there castles, Towns or villagers or destroyed
- Add robbery of merchants in the street
- Join guilds where you do quest for them and rank up
- Better kingdom management
- Buy drinks for your men in taverns
- More and better convincing terrains
- and a lot more other things

Will all these features be added to the mod?

Hopefully all these features and more will be added into this mod.

Is this mod a single player mod or multiplayer or both?

This mod will be a single player game only first, but after single player is released I will go straight to making multiplayer. What kind of multiplayer you may ask? Well it could be the native version with the same maps and features or even a co-op single player or a open world map where you can play with other players. Or it might just be the native multiplier with brand new features and better maps!

Keep an eye for the release! Could be months yet, well thinking about it right now, maybe it will be released by the end of this year. Just remember, not all good things are created in a few weeks!!

the only way that this will be like a total war game is if you give the control of a complete faction to the player since day 1

Hey, I'd definitely play this mod if it met the following conditions. A similar mod 1257 AD tried to do this, but it was obnoxious to look at.

1. Retain the native feel. No terrain textures, animations, sound or music
2. Better designed world map; not some flat area shaped like Europe. There needs to be mountains, forests, rivers and terrain variations just like in Total War world maps.
3. All names should be readable to an English speaker. No units should be named like Al-Habu-al-Zumr-Bakr-Bishbash. Just a simple "Arabian Mamluke" will do.

I saw a really promising mod feature in Custom Troop Tree's which has just been released, basically adds your own customisable troops to the player faction. Would you consider adding this to your MTII mod?
