Full version of Medieval Conquests, V4.5
Medieval Conquests is a mod set during the Medieval Ages.
High performance build.
Installation is simple, drop into your Module folder and run.
Mac/Linux users should refer to the OPTIONAL_UI_&_MAC_LINUX_FIX folder inside the module, and then move into the Mac_Linux_Only_FIX_USE_ME, and read the text files there.
Further note, Mac/Linux versions have NOT been tested, thus proceed at your own risk with those operating systems.
This is a high performance build.
Mount and Blade Warband 1.168 or higher is needed to play.
If you wish to use WSE, its also inside the Optional_UI folder, and includes a readme with changes/differences.

*Added a Master Server framework for Co-Op/Multiplayer official events to inform players when an event is live, check this example:

This triggers every 7 days of in-game time, or everytime the main menu is visited. The in-game portion is optional and can be disabled. The message only pops up if an Event is currently live.
All data sent to clients is in forms of strings and integers, completly safe and customizeable live stats of the Master Server, messages, and colours.
No data is grabbed from clients, the only outbound connection made is a request to master server for data.

*FIXED Sometimes, when making a new faction the minister is a clone of you, and you can fire yourself
*FIXED the multiple villages on top of villages (rare, seems to be zargoza village only)
*FIXED the emissaries never returning bug/diplomacy not functional
*FIXED the dialogs with females and lords where they ask you to surrender or die
*FIXED Sometimes when courting a lady and talking to her father he says weird messages (confirmed)
*Fixed the weird female faces
*Fixed coop decapitation error and getting stuck on props in co-op

*Maybe fixed the namestring bug where player and AI names change to incorrect variables

An article or section will be made for all known bugs, until then, here are the bugs you should expect from this first release.
Known issues & bugs:
#Co-Op related issues, the following is client-sync only for now:
Music, Crouching, Army cheering (t), shield bashing animation, shield bashing itself in co-op requires more testing and a possible rewrite of code for co-op shield bashing.
#SP Related issues:
Noticed a new bug - in some manors there is a copy of the player, interacting with it is not harmful but pointless, unless you become the vassal of yousrelf by talking to your clone, then that ***** up the entire game I think.
Sometimes, lords may get the wrong royal titles during the game, this happens more often when a lord dies, it is possible to see lords with female titles until the weekly dynamic title update kicks in, roughly 7 days of in-game time is required.
Some arena masters, as well as some blacksmiths, and merchants, may have a female model while they are a man, this is also related to the marriage and title code, which i’ll have to rewrite some point along the future or do the workaround above.
Some ladies in the game may ask you to surrender or die (although it doesn't’ do anything) when you talk to them, as far as I am aware this only occurs if you start as a King and visit your capital, the first couple of times, if it occurs elsewhere than that, let me know.
Usurpers have incorrect dialogues in a lot of cases (Vanilla dialogs), this won’t be fixed anytime soon, as I’ll have to be creative about it.
Family-relations for several lords and ladies are messy, this will be fixed some point along the future.

Maybe your character is the adopted son which means you are the step brother and step son, which would mean it's not incest, and thus legal to marry her in order to secure your character's legitimacy to rule.
Sending Companions out on emissary missions doesn't work.. they just don't come back
Also you cant ascend to the throne no matter what. another feature that would be nice is to be able to persuade lords by sending your companions and offering a fief. Assuming you can fix the emissary issues so the companions will come back.

There are many great mods appointed in the Credits too...this seems to be a good mix!
I was wainting for a mod like this...Nova Aetas made a nice push with v4.0, but your mod has a lot of potencial too, and a lot more items for sure...map of Europe is Gigantic and nice...makes me remember the nice 1257 AD :D

for some reason my exe file hangs up when i click on medieval conquests module when picking a module in the launcher
using 1.168 version

Edit: I was able to reproduce this, i'll try to make a patch to remove the Viking Conquest dependency.
You can fix this by commenting in module.ini:
#operati # to force new version of engine API
This will be included in the new patch coming soon.
it seems to have not registered anything abnormal in rgl_log.txt
no errors or anything
just usual receiving steam stuff
the game exe simply freezes when you select the module no other module is hanging up

also does it matter where do you put it ? inside module.ini ?
Just look for operation_set_version and delete the whole line.
I deleted whole operation line but still freeze.
I ran into a bug, after I clicked return after looting, where I didn't pick up anything from attacking a bandit hideout, a thing came up and says "You shouldn't be reading this...Holy Roman Empire" and every time I click continue it gives me money, which I have no need for, but it won't let me leave it. I'm stuck in it.
See if you can reproduce the issue with the improved looting system off in the Camp Options.
I turned it off and it didn't happen again, and will wars be declared automatically? Because it's like 8 days in and nothing. Just curious if they take longer to happen in this mod.

Thanks, i'll make sure the looting system is off at bandit hideouts as it uses a different troop to store loot.
For mac I don't know if you can check this but the weekly wage for all starts is 6mil automatically? anyone have a fix or know whats happening?

I got it and I love the amount of factions and the starting menu but every second battle my game just dies and i get 0.2 FPS so i have to slowly o' very slowly exit the game save then relaunch but when in big battles. Gets very frusterating... and yes i can run it i get like 50-60 fps normally. Thanks for the help anyone
I select Medieval Conquest on launcher screen but the launcher freezes. Can't play the mod, why?.
Try using the WSE inside the Optional_UI Folder, within the Medieval_Conquets folder.

It is a fantastic mod, great historical accuracy, great animations, splendid graphics (splendid for the base engine)
I especially love the way we interact with the troops wile shouting in battles, I love the concept of being able to go as a crusader, I only regret the fact that it doesn't have real scenario quests or something similar, tied to the crusades history, but the base game wasn't meant to be played with a scenario (as far as I know...) so it ain't something I'd complain about.
I have a question though... When you say that you take AD 1257 as a basis, do you mean that this module takes back EVERY single aspect of AD 1257 ? or is there some things that you cut off ?
Could you enumerate all the things you added yourself ? or if you already did so, is there anyplace I can find the "changelog" ?
A great improvement over original 1257 mod, fantastic work! Please do not abandon it, I look forward to any patches and updates.
Just a few questions (bug reports?):
- why all dames and princesses stay at the foreign courts (russian ones - in Hungary, french ones - in England, etc.)?
- is beheading enemy lord/general intended to make every neutral faction hostile, except for your own faction and allies?

I can't select it in the module for some reason it stops working
Has anyone else had the problem of no matter how many members in your party even if its just yourself the weekly cost is some insane amount usually around 600 thousand denars with the lance system? I haven't tried the normal recruitment system

This is great mode , i playing some time single player , and after a while i lost option in castles to recruit any cavalry, i m about 100 days play and become baron of one kingdom , in the first 59 days i had options to recruit now is gone . Maybe this is bug or i switch off something in the mod options ...
