The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

This is setting a high bar for the rest of the textures. I wonder if we'll be seeing any of the earlier work redone?

Ok, brand new here, just looking for some consumer advice. All I have is the original Sins, should I skip Entrenchment and Diplomacy and go straight to Rebellion?
Second part, is Rebellion an expansion or a stand alone game?
Rebellion is stand alone, and in my opinion at least, very much so worth it to get over any of the other three. Especially the original Sins due to the dramatic improvements to the game, and the gameplay.

I'm imagining them being quite large and firing a slow reaper like projectile(red beams), slow to fire but utterly devastating to the target.
they fire blue beams, not red. It is the turret version of that thing attached to the back of a destroyer in the Hammer stage for the battle for Earth.
