Description
Cerberus being a terrorist organization cannot use direct means of communication out of fear of being tracked. What the Illusive man set up many years ago was a way to piggy back Cerberus comm traffic through standard Extranet traffic as white noise. Allowing influence and data to be spread without knowledge of the council or other authorities.
Its interesting to say the least. Question, where in Mass Effect is the term Subnet ever used or did you just make that up?
Made it up. The universe is only so big, so sometimes i have to use my imagination. I got the idea for this station from some buildings seen in the Mass Effect IPad game.
Subnet is actually a real term used in routing and networking.
A subnet is a logical division of IP addresses based on subnet masks.
So, in short, you named this station pretty well. The name kind of relates to what it is used for.
Also, like the mesh.
Yeah, kind of reminds me of a server with beveled edges.
What about Cerberus' company fronts... have them spread culture?
Thats what the minuteman station is for its a Cerberus Operated civilian front in order to effectively trade resources.

This suits Cerberus so much and didn't they mention the sub-net or something similar (like hidden channels) in ME3? When you get to find the ex-cerberus scientist I think.
