We plan to do one more, these are the two in game now. One is for defense, the other is a production focused starbase.
What will the last be for? Also, how will you balance this many starbases in the game? Will planets that have 3 be almost impossible to take?
From what i can gather, the balancing would be similar to the star bases in the star wars ascendency mod, where the defensive starbase will be heavily armed but cannot do non military upgrades like docking booms, trade facilities and auxiliary government. while the civilian starbase can, but would be armed with rubber band guns and armoured with paper mache.
So what you're saying is that the star bases will be useful on the next release? Like it has defenses now or some other facilities like trade and ship production? Because that would be amazing I used those star bases as damage absorber during the last release now it will deal damage...
So they actually change visually depending on what they're upgraded with. That's awesome. I love when that kind of thing is implemented just like the vanilla starbases in Rebellion. Brilliant job, guys.
