The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

These ships are looking great, shorter than I would have expected (from nose to tail I mean) but still very nice.

On a side note I notice majority of ships use an aerodynamic design, surely that would be pointless in the void of space? For smaller ships which can go in-atmosphere I can see the reasoning for landing and taking off on planets but other larger ships I don't see the reasoning for it in design.

Well actually most ships use eezo as their fuel. So if I have my facts straight, then aerodynamics isn't really required for those ships.

I think it would be for manouverability when in an atmosphere environment regardless of how there powered.

maby it has something to do with the mass effect field it generates. that its not fully effective around a box like ship and more effective around more sleeker hulls.
(if not the ME field maby the defensive shields need it)

You are all forgetting the obvious reason why: it looks cooler than a flying box.

B2 Bombers aren't just rounded for aerodynamics but also for more effective radar diffusion, so one line of reasoning for the shaping of the ships could be along the lines of electronic countermeasures/stealth

Description

One of the Hegemony's last research projects before the fall. This is a thanix equipped Siege cruiser. With Technology recovered from the Leviathan of Dis the Batarians were able to fashion their own Thanix Cannon. Luckily the remnants of the Hegemony were able to save several as well as the design. Might come in handy when you have to clear out a new world to settle on.
