Description
This is a design for one of the Batarian pirate/militia ships that will be in orbit around uncontrolled worlds.
kinda reminds me of stardestroyer with out tower. ik its not im just saying it kidna looks like a more advanced one lol. its very good is the main point to this rant. what is a interdictor? small or medium sized ship?
Interdictor ships are basically interceptor craft of frigate size or higher, in alot of sci-fi they typically have some kind of ability to pull a ship out of ftl or whatever jump drive is in the IP.
in the mass effect uni were they able to pull ships out of jumps? i guess maybe their normal FTL methods, but just wondering if you could pull ships out of after the relay jump

If you have played "Star Wars Empire at War" you've seen an Imperial interdictor cruiser. It had the ability to block reinforcements from jumping to it from a wide area around it, as well as hinder reinforcements from jumping to hyperspace if the got outnumbered. It could also Jam Missile's tracking systems.
In short, it's a support cruiser with powerful abilities, but judging by the game, it is a very weak cruiser. Very slow, and can only take a small punch. It is similar in size to the Victory class Star Destroyer, a large cruiser.
Well, that's the star wars version at least. No idea what this one will do ^^
yeah i was thinking along EAW lines, as a support ship but the whole "Interdictor" aspect, at least the system-to-system travel seemed iffy. Im slightly confused though, the batarians really won't be a playable faction right, they are just meant to replace the pirates?

Just curious, are you getting these batarian designs from bioware concept art or just your own imagination?
These designs came forth after a good friend of mine and I carefully analyzed the physical and mental aspects of Batarians. We came up with a centralized, utilitarian design that suites the Batarian mind set almost flawlessly.
