The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

kewl, and first comment (just cus I could say it, don't judge me.) But my perspective is that this looks like a ship in of itself. Maybe a mobile shipyard capital ship!! ;) Just an idea, though.
Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should. Keep thinking like that and you could get yourself in a lot of trouble. Anyway, as for something relative to the media, it looks quite nice and Im excited to see it textured!
I guess you did not see Tali Zorahs post on the previous image.
i like this design and i wonder how it came to be?
It's Arcturus station.
wow, blonde moment i think lol
...I wouldn't have guessed. What with the helmet and all :P
yea well the verse has a lot of surprises :3
Cool! Alliance or Cerberus?
Allaince/Council.
Arcturus Station was the capital of the Systems Alliance, seat of the Alliance Prime Minister, Parliment, and Headquarters of the Alliance Navy before the Reaper Invation of 2186. Arcturus is located in the Arcturus Star System. Three mass relays exist in system making Arcturus a major crossroads and vital strategic location.
It looks a little bit too much like a mixture between the Kyoto and Tokyo Class Earth Vessels from X3 Terran Conflict...
I can see that. However, it is worth noting that this is Arcturus Station as shown in official Mass Effect media. I know for certain it's in Mass Effect: Evolution. Probably in an art book as well.
Ah okay... then those people effed that one up ^^
Thanks for clearing that up :)
like zjin said, there is actual reference for this we did not create the design

What caught my eye in that pic is...Is that large grey/dull red construction a ship? If so, who owns it? I immediately though Krogan for some reason...
Its a Turian ship, you see some in ME1 at the Citadel. Not sure what type, but I think its a command warship of some kind.
Now why the downvote? I was talking about the ship in the link above in skyline5gtr's comment. I know this pic that we're all commenting on is Arcturus Station.
That's the fuel depot model seen in ME2 and 3. Assuming you mean the thing behind Arcturus.
Oh right, I forgot they used them for the fuel depots, I was thinking of the concept art, it was originally a Turian ship of some kind I think. Lol, oh well.
i once mentioned that the station looked like the terran osaka ship from x3 on youtube and my comment was downvoted so hard and even reported i dont know why i got such hate just by stating it looks like a ship from another game
type-o oops, been doing so much latley just slipped my mind :-).
Nice work! You're churning them out lately!
Great model, I can't wait for this mod! But in the codex and the ME wiki, it says that the stations a stanford-torus type? :o
Love it.
I'm going to assume this is the Council Starbase or is there another role in mind for this epic model?
It's worth noting that the Alliance intended for the Arcturus station to be mobile. It was a way of circumventing the Treaty of Farixen (The treaty that limits the amount of dreadnoughts the Council races are each allowed having).
It's....It's beautiful! *tear runs down face*
Wait? No clever input how you're going to do something with this model for morale reasons against the reapers?
It speaks for itself
Looks almost identical to the model I did for it. Great work Skyline, what's the poly count?
im not too sure id have to pull the model up and check, most of the detail is normal map projected so its not too much under 1000 i think
Ah, that's very low.
I personally think you should do a new design based on the original description of the station. i dont know why Bioware designed it like that, its suposed to be a Stanford torus designed station, wich would be really cool i think :)This one i dont really understand as a design for a station. Good work anyway tho. not your foult that Bioware dont follow their own writers and change lore between games
