Dawn of the Reapers 0.8.5 Resurgence
This is a BETA version of the mod. Everything within this version is subject to change. Some bugs may be encountered.
Install Instructions
Method 1
- Extract the DOTR folder into your Mods Rebellion v1.85 folder.
- Once the extraction is complete, find the DOTRHOME.bat file, move this file to your Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion folder, usually found at C/Steam/Steamapps/common/Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion.
- Open Sins of a Solar Empire rebellion, go to options > mods and enable DOTR.
- Once the mod is enabled, restart sins to ensure stability.
Method 2
For those of you that prefer enabling mods through the EnabledMods file, copy the following text and replace the text within your enabled mods file:

Do not use this method unless you are sure of what you are doing, otherwise, use method 1.
State of the Mod
There are far too many changes with the 0.8.5 release to list a full change log, however, some of the most notable new features and changes are:
- Redone UI: A completely redone and polished UI to enhance the in game experience.
- Ship stat cards: Stat cards providing detailed and important information about the ship to the player implemented across the vast majority of the rosters.
- Stealth Rework: New and improved stealth mechanics providing another layer of gameplay and choice.
- Carrier Rework: Improvements to carriers and strike craft mean that carriers now provide a far more potent presence and force in combat.
- Infantry Rework: Balances to infantry units and the implementation of a brand new combat width mechanic, adding depth to DotR’s unique infantry system.
- New Voice Lines: Several voice line additions and announcer changes, providing more variety and identification to factions and ships.
- Merc Overhaul: Overhaul to the merc faction, rebalancing their economy, adding dreadnought abilities, and bringing them into a more balanced position with the other factions.
- Council Rework: Various aspects of the Council changed and rebalanced across the board, providing a more balanced and fleshed out gameplay experience.
- Cerberus Rework: Cerberus faction adjusted to meet the original vision, ship buffs, tech tree changes and rebalancing across the board.
- New ships: A couple of new ship additions, most notably in the implementation of the Arcturus starbase for the Alliance.
- New Maps: Addition of two new competitive maps, HG2 (2v2) and DV1 (3v3) with spectator versions.
- New Emblems: A few new emblem choices added to better reflect the totality of ships and factions represented in DotR.

Cant pick Factions?
Please can you upload the files to another site as well? I live in the UK and downloading from US servers is awful, im getting 300kb down! I pay for 350mb internet, and i usually get it. But downloading from moddb is awful.

Hello I am having trouble with starting the mod.
I have used previous versions and they all worked well but when I try to start 8.5 e get a crash on startup and a runtime error.
I followed procedure 1 and have my game on version 1.92 with every dlc.

Small Question: Am i correct in assuming that the Heros are not implemented jet? Because i can unlock them on the Technology Screen, but i cant actually spawn them with the Herospawner... or does that work differently?
Some heros are, most space based heros are not.
Hi, iI have a problem, AI doesn't colonize enough planets, i have a picture:

In the picture, a "barren planet", a "hydrogen planet", and "large asteroid" are empty, no pirates and the AI don't capture them.
I am playing in platinum difficulty.
I don't know if it's a problem just mine, or what is happening to other people.

Hi, Problem i think .
I have a cheaksum of "0". Not i have downloaded two times an both have a cheaksum of "0".
So what would the cheaksum be ? Vs file is : DOTR_0.8.5 1.2GB

I keep getting Critical mission failure error message and dont know how to ressolve this issue,when I enabke the mod this happens
How do you bomb planets?!?!
2 things can be changed or updated:
build my own "galaxy" dont work and some planets dont have pashe line for the rest look great
Eh, just crashes on startup, this is far from the only mod I've ever used so its not me being inexperienced. Tried both methods by the book first, before trying to fix what i suspect was a bad writeup on the devs part (the copy paste for method 2 is broken, and even when formatted properly it just boots a nonexistent folder name)

Anytime I get to that point of researching Olympus prototype I only get Sagan Carrier, and I would really like to finally see that Olympus prototype with thanix weaponry.

cant build custom galaxy
That's not a bug, That's intentional.
very good mod, nice models but i have some problems mostly when i research ships and other late game stuff i need 1 point in control, destroy, etc. factions to do the research how can i get them cause i dont see them in the researh tab
