This is soo awesome! Unfortunately I always run into problems while using ENB, might be my graphics card or something but i can never get, for example, AO to work in any of the games...

With a clean copy of Mafia you should have no worries. Just hit install when downloaded, we did that annoying part :)

It's very frustrating when a mod lacks some decent manual on how to install. I will do my very best at explaining everything importand to it's finest detail.
An 80 year old should be able to make it work :P

This effect works very well on the interior areas especially. In the mean time, the AO has been made less rough, and it's giving great results to these areas. I cannot wait untill I have placed more of it ingame!

You guys are in a roll, some times back you thought it was not possible to make more with the LS3D engine, now it seams everything is possible. :D

And yes SSAO makes a significant difference to the looks of a scene, and it indeed needs to be less blurred, but if Mafia has lightmaps and it uses radiosity lighting (and you have access now to the radiosity feature), then AO should automatically be present, so does beams with lightmaps should look more pronounced and even better looking then the SSAO one, are you using lightmaps on this scene?

There is lightmapping applied to this scene. You can see the shadows on the deck planking. Without it, all polygons facing aft would be fully illuminated like a few edges around the window storm shields.

Who knows what else we might discover during the mod's progress. Bump mapping? advanced physics? :P

As a follow up, I could post zillions of these comparisons but I'll just stick to another 2.
I managed to get the ambient occlusion working (Ambient Occlusion in Mafia's LS3D engine, who would ever thought about that)

Although I still want to increase the resolution of the AO as I think it's a bit blurry. But I mean, damn, look at the diffrence!
With these effects, the mod is still extremely playable.

When the smoke effect is completely finished by Djbozkosz and the ocean is done I will post full comparison shots of the entire scene like I mentioned before. :)
