The Legends of Algora is a new campaign for Neverwinter Nights 2. It will feature a wide range of modules, custom content, and voice acting.

Algora is a unique world in that it has no relation to the Neverwinter Nights storyline. The world is moderately sized and is made of three major areas: Tanria, Badrea, and Bria. In these areas, there are many towns and cities. The major cities are Aurendale, Charlton, Bellview, Al’Jasar, and Whitestone.

A thousand years prior to the time the mod takes place, a major threat was sweeping through the lands of Algora. A race called the Kin’Dar, which prior to this time had kept mostly to themselves, had just welcomed a new king, or Archlord, as they call it. Archlord Nalrasa had just come into power, and after ruling for a few years, he declared himself a god. The quiet race known as the Kin’Dar was now renamed to “The Sacred”. Nalrasa commanded that the rest of the world surrender to his rule, and adopt his new religion, but when the people resisted this, he declared war in an effort to take power by force. He gathered a large army that went through the land, taking each town under his ruthless rule.

Many towns surrendered to his will, for if anyone resisted, they were killed, regardless of age or gender. One man however, refused to fall under the rule of this madman. King Archibald III of the great city Aurendale, amassed a resistance army uniting all the towns and cities he could to stop The Sacred. His forces pushed The Sacred back into Badrea, to their homeland in The Shadow Planes. With the help of Algora’s finest wizards and sorcerers, a portal was opened at The Shadow Gate, and Archibald sent Nalrasa and his sacred race to the Underworld, a world far from Algora.

Now a thousand years later, a powerful mage, poisoned by the promise of awesome power, has reopened the gate and allowed The Sacred to re-enter the land. The Sacred, now lead by their new king, Archlord Orion Tassidus, have come back with burning vengeance in their hearts, with the sole intention to take back their homeland, and enslave the people of Algora.

Thanks for the comment Zenarion, and you are right, it may be that we will need a few concept artists to really nail the potential of this mod. The same is true for most of the jobs on the mod, especially voice actors/actresses, those come in short supply and for a mod like this, are well needed. Hopefully, we get a good amount of people in all of the job slots. Especially modelers, that is always the most difficult and time consuming for me.
