The Dragon Storm Campaign has started in March 2007. This is its introductory text which came along with its introductory movie, which you can find here
For years the world was bathed in darkness...
Communities dwindled, lack of sunlight made plants wither and die, animal life largely perished...
For what seemed like ages, this was the state of the world.
Now, the sound of large wings has been heard in the air, and light appears in the gloomy darkness.
A breeze picks up, driving away the dark clouds.
Faster and faster it blows, fueled by the battering wings of those whose numbers had dwindled to merely a handful.
Stronger and stronger it blows, the sound of its roar trying to outdo the roars of those who gracefully glide its currents
Be wary, as the old now rise to reclaim what was theirs.
Be vigilant, lest their dominion is reasserted.
Will you bend or break as you stand against the winds of the Dragon Storm?
Players were successfull in clearing the skies and brining sunlight back into the world, but whether that's a good thing remains to be seen...
Version 3 of Layonara was released early March 2007, we're now at 3.01.1 with another big update in the works.
Some highlights from when we moved from V2 to V3:
Added over 400 new
armour appearances spread throughout all armour types and genders. A lot of the previously human-only types now work for all races.
Added over 1400 new placeables.
Added over 450 new creature models.
Many tilesets have been added and/or upgraded. A lot of areas will slowly be upgraded to these new and more dynamic environments with the passing of time.
Added deity themed cloaks - Soon you will be able to purchase them or modify your own to match them.
The foundations for a new loot system are in place. Over 60 different types of loot drops will be available.
Added PvP Widget item, please read the new rules on PvP.
Added a new
starting player area where you can learn about the world, its lore and rules. Down the line it will also assist with the character creation process and serve as an OOC gathering area for players.
Added a new nifty Boss XP Reward system.
Added a new day/night spawn system. The world isn't so predictable anymore, be wary!
Added a new customization system that allows us to use all the extra bioware dyes that were introduced in a previous update.
Added many new areas. Re-explore the world.
Added and upgraded many quest areas.
DMs now have more control over encounters in the world for their quests.
Added two starting locations, one in the City of Port Hempstead which is the busiest port city on the continent of Mistone. The second option is another port city, that of Fort Vehl on the southern end of Mistone. This fortified town is the blackened seed of corruption of the Co'rys Kingdom. Shady deals and back-alley murders are common there.

Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Layonara Online. We love games like Neverwinter Nights that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
