L'Aigle is a singleplayer total-conversion mod for Mount & Blade: Warband. Set during the Napoleonic Wars, L'Aigle will recreate the age of blackpowder warfare.
Castles in the mod have been replaced with small star forts. Castles have been limited to one per faction and now serve as military depots and regimental headquarters.
Very happy you didn't make them full size. After a while it would just get tedious. This size seems larger than a castle, which is nice, but shouldn't be silly. Great job!
If it were real size it would take like 10 minutes just to get to the other side lol
Very nice! Cant wait to play with that :D
Glad to see new screenshots, keep up the amazing work overall ^^
nice :)
very nice job...
from what i've seen this is one of the few professional quality mods around here.
it would be nice if you could set up multiple spawn points for the troops to take full advantage of that model - let's say: a band of troops per wall - instead of the regular mob spawning on top of each other like the vanilla version does

Where are the cannons ? cannister shots you know :P
the 2d distance looks much better than native one
I am the only thinking of how to deploy my Prussian Landwehrs and leading them into a victorious battle against the French?
The entire length of that wall lined with green jackets with nothing but a hedge of bayonets from the Coldstream Guards waiting for anything that came through that gate. Glorious.
You can't conquesr a fort like this without a massive bloodshed for your side, many of your soldiers will fall...
Really cool model. Is the backdrop yours too? Because it really enhances the terrain in this shot. I have to say though, i have never seen those cylinders you put on the corners on real star forts, what are their purpouse?
Those sentry boxes built directly on the wall were used to watch for the enemy and to throw arrows through their embrasures. Very common in France (Vauban's fortifications).

arrows at middle age then bullets of course
All I can say is Stunning!
Are the doors openable? Or do you have to walk on those awkward ladders or siege towers again? Or can you actually use artillery to batter the wall down?
1.From that picture Gerard, I guess that doors are openable as the gates are open. This doesn't mean all doors will be openable but I guess the front gates will be.
2.Those "awkward" ladders are most likely to be used aswell.
3.I think that artillery will aslo be an option as artillery is shown in the mod trailer. Plus it would be pointless having artillery but no artillery in a siege :P
Yea lol. But maybe improve the ladders. Its a bit queer the ladders are already on the wall in a siege. The defenders would just throw them off.
very good period architecture in a scale that makes the battle reasonable to play. Great job I love your work
