L'Aigle is a singleplayer total-conversion mod for Mount & Blade: Warband. Set during the Napoleonic Wars, L'Aigle will recreate the age of blackpowder warfare.
Greetings.Just wanted to say that the mod is great.Been playing it for a long time now.The only feedback i can provide , is that having more town and village maps would be great.Highly suggest to focus on that department , should you find some free time to do so.
The original Imperial Militia Battalion had a large number of Lutheran Ingrians or Karelians in their ranks recruited from the crown estates of Krasnoe Selo, Oranienbaum, Gatchina and Strelna, although after the 1807 campaign, their numbers were already thinning and being replaced by Russians from recruit depots and transfers from the regular army regiments. A more likely explanation was that the regiment was named after the newly annexed Finland, since the battalion changed its name in early April of 1808 and Alexander I declared his annexation of Finland in his declaration of war on Sweden in March of 1808. What better way to cement your conquest than by adding a "Finnish" unit to your Imperial Guard. Once the unit was tripled in size in 1811 with even more Russian transfers, becoming a regiment of three battalions, it was really only Finnish in name. In his history of the regiment from 1906, Captain S. A. Gulevich admitted that the true reason is not definitively known.
Your Excellency, Docm30, I just want to say that I've been a longtime follower of this project (I'm hesitant to call it a mod simply because it looks like a new game at this point), and I think I speak for everyone that loves this when I say: Please take all the time you need to make this the best it can be according to your vision. Even in the current release, it's the closest thing I have to a War & Peace simulator and it's already so good. Keep up the good work and go forward with our full faith and confidence that the eventual next release will blow us all away like it's Austerlitz!
I personally feel like mod is not dead but it needs some quality of life improvements maybe like nerfing cavalary a bit especialy heavy one .
And i don't seem to be able to recruit Chevau-Legers Polonais Or is it me but there is no upgrade screen for them tough.
Man I swear this mod is dead as hell, at this point it's been 7 years, and 7 years of little time os alot of time in the longer run. he hasen't updated it at all, no new small update, nothing.
huh this was kinda out of the blue is the mod alive or dead?
Dead
I am glad to see some new updates.
(buried)
Why are all the updates so slow?
(buried)
Because this mod it's almost dead and someone is trying to revive it, also very funny to the guys who gives downvotes, they can't accept the truth
No one is trying to revive this mod, it's still Jackson/Docm30, he just works on this rather rarely.
I have very little time to work on the mod.
(buried)
then why keep working it?
also thanks for keeping it alive :)
Because I enjoy working on it and want to release an update, even if it takes awhile.

Beautiful,looks realy great !!!
Where does the name of the battalion come from? To my understanding it wasn't comprised of ethnic Finns.
