Holy Crap! This isn't happening...An update from Killing Floor ?
Yeah. I got off my butt and put some screenshots together for the public. This marks the first public showing of 2.0 (outside of the KF forums) in....well ...maybe at all.
Below are some shots taken in KF-Manor and KF-Bioticslab. If you played KF 1.0 you may remember the maps looked abit different, well they have changed. And the guns , and the player models, and just about everything.
P. S Yes, that is moving film grain on these images. It shows up like that in game. I'm tweaking it still, but as a graphical option it will be...optional. Also, just because I'm playing alone in these screens, don't get any funny ideas! KF is still a CO-OP shooter, not a singleplayer game.

i also agree with this dude, naked zombies are way creepyer then nonnaked zombies cuz if one of them can "get it up" they can rape you. so watch your back when playing KF 2.0 ok?
Why would the zombies bother to get clothes on?
It seems to me, arising from the grave, a person would not only be severly decomposed but also quite likely be naked or half-naked.
Or is that too hard for you kids to grasp?

A few other mods are going this way. It's because the zombies aren't the vision of George A. Romero. They are their own zombies, and are old enough to make decisions for themselves. The fact that naked zombies makes it plain creepy is testament that moving outside the box can yield great results.

As to the naked zombies, I too think this is a bit weird. I mean I see where you are going with it as it adds to a creepy angle, but it just isn't logical.
People die first and then they turn into zombies, right? Where does ripping off your clothes enter the equation? Do you flip out while your still human but turning and just rip off all of your clothes? That can't be because then why would EVERYONE respond in this same way, unless a symptom of turning was getting unbearably hot like that Star-Trek episode "Naked Time" or the Next Gen episode "Naked Now".
Or is it that the first thing a person does when they turn full zombie is get naked? I doubt that because if zombies are mindless eating machines I don't think they would take the time to suddenly care about that red stain on their pants.

I had wanted to stay out of this pointless bickering. But with Eric having got himself involved (Guess what man, you didnt have to!!!), I feel I should set things straight.
The name "zombie" is a loose term for the enemiesy you fight in Killing Floor. I am still putting together the storyline, but as it stands they are lab experiments, and the "once dead now risen" concept doesn't apply. They could have been alive all along, but pumped up on stiumlants and various other drug cocktails for the purpose of testing. Who cares?
I guess my frustration comes with the lack of creativity people seem to express when it comes to touching the sacred "zombie rules".
I'm not going to say anything more. If you like KF, play it. If clotheless zombies turn you off, go play any of the Romero tribute mods that are in the works.

Being one of the first round of 2.0 beta testers, the naked zombie thing adds a sort of surreal horror feeling, a subtle feeling of being disturbed by it. It's kinda like the 80's The Fly; there's always a slight spine shivering feeling.
I eagerly await the release of 2.0. For those of you who are still skeptical about the naked zombie thing, give it at least a chance, it adds to the atmosphere. Anyways, the 1.0 zeds were practically naked too. :P
