A fan patch for KFMod that include cut content, improvements as well as some bug fixes.

A minor patch that adds in some new content, cut content as well as some
improvements to the Killing Floor Mod. While this is a patch for version 2.5
of KFMod, I have decided to make it completely downloadable in a rar for
simplicity of installation and incase you don't have 2.5 installed already.
1.1 Installation:
Drag and drop the KFMod253 folder into the Unreal Tournament 2004 folder.
Do not place this in the Systems folder or replace any of the Unreal
Tournament 2004 files or you may break the game. Use the "Launch
Killing Floor.bat" file to launch the game and enjoy!
1.2 Changelog:
- New main menu screen
- Minor improvements to zed hitboxes
- 2 new perks have been implemented, Firebug and the Sergeant! ** Important note: Perks initial statistics have not been changed, meaning that they may be completely unbalanced and will be changed in a future patch.
- Changed Sharpshooters requirement text to clarify that Ranged Weapons(Winchester, Crossbow) must be used.
- Handcannon is now in Slot 2 for weapon selection
- Bullpup is now in Slot 3 for weapon selection
- Weapon priority has been changed to the following:
•Slot 1: Knife < Pipe < Axe
•Slot 2: 9mm < Dual 9mms < Deagle
•Slot 3: Flamethrower < Winchester < Shotgun < Bullpup
•Slot 4: L.A.W < Crossbow < Super Shotgun
•Slot 5: Welder < Syringe
- Crawler no longer randomly spins around in a circle and will face the player it is targetting
- Lewis's class portrait is now in black & white to fit along with the other portraits
- Handcannon aimerror/spread changed to 0
- Changed enemy squads to reduce siren, bloat and fleshpound spam
- Added Gunpound to a single monster squad
- Gunpound now shoots in long bursts, similar to the Patriarch

I want to thank Gregs for providing me with version 2.51(check out his website RageQuitters)
as well as Alex Quick for making this awesome mod. I can faithfully say a version 2.54
will eventually be released with some more changes, some possible specimen variants,
improved map pathing, perk changes and a whole lot more after I come back. For now,
hopefully you can enjoy this small patch. Now get on that Killing Floor and show those zeds
whose boss!
To make it work needs:
-Latest UT2k4 version (v3369)
-Editor's Choice Edition (ECE) content.
Original KFMod needs this too. Recommend getting it off of GoG for no DRM BS that steam has. By the way, would love to hear thoughts on the patch if you got any to share!
Im stil have orginal UT2k4 so its no need to go to GoG or Steam.
To give some feedback need play with 1 or 2 players on server since I dont play KF for long time and got killed on first wave.

Hey guys! Just dropping a little announcement here. Due to a mistake on my part, the new zed waves aren't working so you'll still see plenty of Fleshpounds, Sirens and etc. This will be fixed in version 2.54, the zed overhaul update. This update will focus on giving zeds a stronger role in play and balancing them as well. Difficulty will affect zed behavior while minimally increasing their stats to keep it interesting. Hitboxes will be fixed up to perfection so consistent headshotting will be possible and a variant of one of the bigger zeds will be added in. I have noticed issues with the weapon scopes/ironsights being misaligned and some zed bugs which hopefully will be fixed as well. If you can report any bug you find, I'd be happy to fix them too.
When will be 2.54 version come out?

2.54 is never gonna happen, specially not when killing floor retail and killing floor 2 already exists
Awesome. Someone finally got the game going again. And glad to see you're tryng new things.
I had a server with this version up today and it operated well. To me, this looks like a good update.
However, I did have one problem:
Whenever I activate the server from KF, the game shuts down. But the server can be activated using the dedicated server bat file.

That's standard in every unreal engine game. Starting a dedi ingame will close it and launch the server instead, which is why it's better to use a .bat file instead.
why i cant start the game? when i go create a game or servers it appears a message saying ''Warning'' just that when i press ok nothing happens kinda confused since its my first time on this mod i installed everything in the right place.

Hi, I'm not sure what you guys are talking about and I'd love to get a screenshot if possible!
A friend of mine has said there's something you need to do with the firewall, disabling it or allowing KFMod to go through or something should remove the warning message.
here's a video showing the error: imgur.com/RbD2uKW . this is with ut2004.exe whitelisted on the firewall, MegaPack and 3369 patch installed, PC restarted, and launched from "C:\Program Files (x86)\UT2004\KFMod253\Launch Killing Floor.bat" on Windows 10 1809 (OS Build 17763.292).
You need to enable Windows XP compatibility mode on UT2004.exe.
right click UT2004.exe > Properties > Compatibility > enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
Can I play single player mode?
Suggestions:
-Upon picking up the Machine Pistol land add it to Field Medic even during trader.
-Remove grenade and LAW self-damage especially with bots.
-Add Baseball Bat for Berserker (scrapped from 2.0 and would do more damage than the broken pipe but not as much to Axe).
-Add Chainsaw (scrapped from 2.0) for Berserker
-Add Mine (scrapped from 2.0) for Support Specialist and also make it have 2400 damage each.
-Add .50Cal Heavy for Commando and have its ammunition as infinite.
-Increase LAW damage from 650 to 850.
-Increase Bullpup damage from 26 to 42.
-Increase Flamethrower damage from 10 to 30.
-Increase Shotgun damage from 245 to 275.
-Increase Hunting Shotgun damage from 500 to 600.
-Increase Handcannon damage from 105 to 125.
-Increase Winchester damage from 180 to 220.
-Increase Crossbow damage from 120 to 260 and for headshots 720 to 760.
-Add iron sights for all weapons.
-Bots should use the trader.
-For later updates add UT2004 weapons.
-Add respawning vehicles that are exclusive to West London such as HUMVEE's and Tanks.
The zeds are randomly despawning when you get to 5 or less of them. Is there a way to fix this so I can kill all of them?

Would have liked to see a demo perk. But it's good otherwise.
