Kane's Wrath Unofficial Big Bang Patch 1.04 is a mod that adds few new things and tries to balances the game a bit more from my and the community ideas while at the same time also tries to save the most import ingredient at bay: The "fun".
Some case as the Supreme commando~ for people who don't look deep in the net~

Why is Kane a controllable/buildable unit at all? Did I miss some late April fools, or is this "patch" going to hell, like KW: Advanced?
KW: Advanced is the best example, what a modder can do wrong. Mixing unit styles, where they don't belong and more horrible (unbalanced) stuff.
Please don't slice this Patch/Mod with nice additions so far, in half. Would be a shame. Still, I appreciate your work, view this as rather constructive criticism than banter or hate.

TW advanced is nice mod but I don't aim to mimic it (We don't need two mods that do the same things even if they awesome ;)) I may do spin off mod or something after that project will be completed, As for now that "Patch" thingy indeed cross the border the moment I just added something new inside, but I try to keep addions to minimum unless I believe it really needed (for example people don't like the fact that MARV is in ST and most don't use it aside from meat shield, so I replaced it with the Mastodon, so that meat shield will be more unique and people will want to use it, same with many other stuff (don't mean I replace them with new units, but rather improved them), most new units are easter eggs or for world builder uses, but if they can have useful rule I don't mind adding them)
I tried my best not to ruin factions uniqueness by not replace all of their units and changed their style too much, but rather just gave them small fair chance by adding what they lack (and also tried to emphasize their style by other means), but not by simply add what they lack back,
example: Zocom lack artillery, despite the Zone juggernaut is already in the mod I didn't simply gave it to them or it will ruin the point of give and take, I just gave the pitbull small mortal upgrade instead so they will have fair yet unencourageable way to fight back in case the enemy have ton of anti air and they don't have a way to breach in.
In Kane's case I had unique idea, both Kane and that Commando not really something you will see too much in the battlefield since some hard conditions need to be met before you can get them (and only in end game), so they won't interfere too much with the actual gameplay, plus there's a way to make them not active at all (mean you won't see them in the game at all ;) ), that why I didn't removed them/moved them to the world builder section (think about them as Sauron and Elf queen from Lord of the rings game if you know what I'm talking about )
And don't worry, I can take criticism :P (one of the reasons I didn't showed them till now was because I didn't was decisive about them)
I bet you did not play my KW Reloaded mod for C&C3;. It was the first mod to have a playable Kane in there (just an experimental prototype).
Your bet is irrelevant, I know there's no Kane in your mod. But it add's things that ruin the experience for me somehow and uses Art from C&C4; that looks misplaced in some ways, but not only from C&C4;.

I am NOT flaming you, but just wanted to show what a mess some unit's and models are. But just because I dislike it, it may still be "THE" greatest mod for other users. Just my opinion.

For BH Brother Marcion as Elite Black Hand Commando would be fitting, at least in my opinion.^^
But Kane as Commando? The elusive, shadowy messiah as front-line Commander? No, that ruin's the immersion somehow even if he's a late game unit.
Imagine General Granger as Soldier, or Telfair as Commando? xD Double-No. Think about it. Kane belongs to Temple Prime, not the battlefield. ;)
Mastodon for ST is nice and fits very well. MARV is sufficient for the other sub-factions. Didn't paid attention, but are squads in this mod replenishable? Via Hand of Nod or Secret Shrine? Well, here's to that...

Kane not going to replace any commando, I thought on them more as Extreme units (Final name not decided yet) Units above the Epic units and not something you can get so easily if at all
I agree it many not be the best fit, I didn't was too encouraged to add him myself few years ago, but I wanted to try some idea and thought to myself "in worst case I can always remove them later on if people will hate it ;)"
I thought it may nice that each faction will have a leader or someone close to him in which you can summon or call (Not train.. well you actually do train them, but you got what I mean ;D) to the battle field, Marcion could fit in indeed but I don't have any 3D model for him (though I may be able to mix his statue face into black hand body, but the animations will be a issue)
Just note that either way Kane's not dying :P when it HP are zero he summon back to where he came from (since you can't kill the Messiah... and yea that what Kane saying when he ran off ;D )

By replenishable you mean heal squads? I didn't made hand of nod and shrine heal them (it also don't fit nod style imo)
GDI armory however can heal allies now
why dont people just think logically if you dont like a controllable kane then dont use it
