Today we noticed that quite a few people were interested in Jedi Betrayal's HUD. Perhaps the similarity of it to Jedi Outcast's HUD is why so many like it. I decided I would find out by interviewing it's creator, mod director Jason Black. I asked him questions such as what influenced him in it's creation, a bit of how he created it, if there was more work to be done on it and more. You can find my interview with him below.
A: Well, the team had been throwing concepts back and forth for a few weeks and nothing seemed really appealing to everybody. I know I felt that the style we ended up going with could be greatly enhanced using some more contemporary 3D rendering techniques.
A: Darth Arth supplied the 3ds max model within the week of my asking him for it, then I spent about thirteen hours applying UV and textures to the parts of the shape, it was my first time really applying UV with a tool like roadkill.

Well if Lucasarts doesn't do it, why can't a fan? However,if you want to continue on with the main Star Wars story, this one is not doing it. The dark side ending to Jedi Academy is considered non-canon. Although it is not canon, there is no need to change the story. I've always been a fan of fanon. Though if you want to continue on with the real Star Wars story, then try coming up with a story that takes place after the light side ending.
I paid a visit to the website and got to read that article about Kyle's alignment. I applaud you all for your choice in how to proceed with Kyle. It makes me look forward to the mod even more.
So umm.. How important is updates to the website than to than to the actual Mod?
I'm not sure I fully understand the nature of your comment, but if your implying that we spend more time working on the website than the mod, you are gravely mistaken. Like we've said many times, the demo is almost done. The level is completed except for a small piece. The main thing we have yet to work on is the menus, since that is all that is left among a few other small things. But we aren't releasing it yet because we want to make sure that it is game-studio quality. We want the mod to be as professional as possible, and we don't want it to look amateurish at all. That's why we are taking so long, ensuring that it is quality work to be released. I have no advice for you other than to just be patient. You will be rewarded in the end.
I'm sorry, it's just that I have not seen all the stuff around here. Thank you for letting me know you are wrapping things up I will be rewarded in the end for patience but I have not been lately for the soon to come release of Battle Over Coruscant by Movie Battles II. And thank you in advance :)
You should come check out the new news post on our website. We hope to release many articles soon!
Finally! a update after what 3 months?
Indeed. I would've updated it 20 times or more so far if I could. Problem is - I can't.
