Life has happened. For several of us on the team. We can't apologize for that. What we *can* apologize for is the lack of information or communication in the meantime.

While there has been little visible activity here over the past 18 months or so, things *have* been happening (however slowly) behind the scenes. Many of the core members of the team have remained in touch with each other, and one very significant member has returned after an extended hiatus.

We have had a very productive meeting, reorganized some things, and have a fairly specific game plan in place to pick up the pace a bit so we have a chance of releasing this mod before we're in our 80's. We plan to be able to give you the results of phase 1 of this plan in the moderately near future, so keep an eye out.

All the same, we do ask for some understanding. Creating this mod is a spare time hobby, and things like work, marriage, moving/relocating, changing schools, and all that other "real life" stuff still comes first. That said, we are most definitely dedicated to this mod. We have what I believe is a great story to tell, great gameplay ideas, and some awesome talent on the team (and we'll be looking to expand on that talent, also in the near future). This is a very grand-scale mod with a full-length campaign, and that's no small project for a spare time hobby.

I can't promise we're quite to the point where we're able to provide regular updates yet, but we are determined to see this mod through. We won't leave you hanging though, so stop by from time to time. We do expect to be making some more consistent progress from here on out.

To you and to anyone who is disappointed about the death of this mod, check out another mod called Star Wars: Dark Pastime. While it does not explicitly state that it is a Jedi Knight 4 mod, it is about Kyle Katarn and takes place after Jedi Academy. Jedi Betrayal is about the dark side ending of Jedi Academy, but I believe Dark Pastime uses the light side ending as canon.

The Dark Pastime mod is much further along in development and is updated quite regularly. The first part of their mod is going to be released soon.

well yes, but as a whole it does it's job.
I can only wish of such a fan-made compilation of missions
starring totaly unrelated jedi and non-jedi protagonists,
each on their 1 significant mission.
Kind of lkek ultimate academy mod but with a story

We'll take a look, but no guarantees. We have actually had some lengthy discussions about Force powers and such, and possibility of some new ones. Some of the suggestions are probably not very likely - strike through walls, throwing the saber as far as you can see, etc. Not all the choices we make are about what "could" happen, but what makes for good gameplay without becoming too overpowered. Some of the suggestions are interesting, but we'll still have to consider them.

Hope you manage to pull the story off. Have you got any original voice work that needs doing? I can put myself forward for any southern-English accented roles (e.g. Imperial-related (Imperial Officer, Imperial Worker), Civilians, etc).

• Samson Q1U microphone (pretty good quality, can hardly hear humming/background noises. If there are any, I can edit them out)
• 20 years old

We are always open for applications on the forum.

A sample or demo reel is required for anyone applying for VA positions as well.

Keep in mind that we may not have a large amount of VA work in the immediate future (our immediate needs are covered I believe), although we will definitely put out a casting call at some point.

Based on previous experience, we want to avoid hiring *too* many voice actors until we're properly ready for them, so they don't lose interest since VA is one of the later stages of level development. We want to hire great actors, but don't want to lose them before we're fully ready for them. Still, feel free to submit an app now - if it's more for just general Imperial lines, we can take those at any time since they won't be directly related to the primary script.

But yes, this mod is using all-new voice work with a full script.
