Infinity Lost places you in the boots of a crewmember of the doomed spaceship the FAL Infinity. The Infinity is the first ship to ever be fitted with the Alberner Drive, a device that can transmit large objects into the 'space' between dimensions. On it's maiden voyage, the Infinity is violently knocked out of this space, and it crashes down on an alternate version of Earth, an Earth the combine have already taken over.
Infinity Lost will be played out episodically, chapter-by-chapter. The story will be told not only through the game, but also through the website which we have designed specifically to the task.
We're hoping to peak the player's interest enough so that they dive into all of this and get immersed in it. You can play the game alone, and not even look at the website, but then you'd only be getting half the story.

It is with great pleasure that I announce a new singe-player mod project for Half-Life 2 that others and myself are currently hard at work on. It?s a science-fiction mod currently called ?Infinity Lost.?
With Infinity Lost, I?m really trying to push the immersion up a notch from where it currently stands with most mods. With this in mind, I, with the help of Paul Blakely, crafted a website that is integrated with the mod itself. As you move through the chapters, you will get that half of the story, the story of the crew of the FAL Infinity, but with the website, you will also get the other half not seen in game. The website acts as a view of the world which the Infinity has lost contact with, and through news updates, hidden files, and unlockable goodies, I am hoping to reward players who take that extra step in hopes of finding answers to all the questions that are presented. And the final ending will certainly be much more understandable to those who have followed the story through the website AND the mod than those who simply played through the game.

We?re currently trying to pin down a release date for the first chapter, but up until that time, we?re going to have the website and forum updated with story progression and general mod updates.
We will also have at least a couple new screenshots within the week from our second mapper, who?s currently out of town but returning shortly.
